The bedroom and bathroom are great, and the flat has everything you could possibly need. Alyson and Tony were lovely—very helpful and responsive throughout our stay. Their hospitality really reflects the warmth of Antigua.
The only thing to note is that if you’re renting a car, the roads in Antigua can be a bit rough, so it helps to be a confident driver. Other than that, we honestly have nothing bad to say.

“Alyson was such a lovely and helpful host. She met us for check-in, gave us a quick tour, & helpfully went over what beaches, restaurants & shops were the local area. Alyson was always on hand if we needed help & very kindly checked in with us occasionally to see if we required anything. She put us in touch with a colleague of hers who very helpfully took us to the supermarket the evening we arrived to get supplies.
The apartment was immaculate, with a very comfy bed & the kitchen well-equipped with everything needed to cook. We really appreciated having cold water on demand via a water cooler. The view from the apartment is absolutely stunning – the pictures don't do it justice! Access to the property is down steps but these are very grippy, even when wet, & there is handrail.
Great location, a quiet local area not far from amenities. Beaches are close-by & easily walkable. Just 0.5 mile from nearest beach, two others at 0.75 and 1 mile. We will definitely stay with Alyson again!”
“I could not recommend Alyson’s Airbnb enough. It was very clean, had absolutely anything you’d need, and the view was one of the best I have experienced. The place and view were even better than the pictures. Alyson was so welcoming and responsive and did more than enough to make us comfortable and have everything we needed. We did not rent a car, but all beaches and restaurants were less than a 20 minute walk, though the place is up on a hill. The grocery store is a 30 minute walk, but there is a driver that can drive you there instead. We’ll definitely be coming back to Alyson’s Airbnb and would recommend it to anyone coming to Antigua!”

“The place is amazing. The apartment was very clean and nicely furnished, with every imaginable kitchen tool. When we arrived, the host, Alison, was very kind and helpful. We had some refreshing cold drinks in the refrigerator and snacks as a welcome treat.
The view from the apartment was stunning, and it remained in the shade for most of the day, so it was not too hot.
We highly recommend staying at this wonderful place with such a lovely host!”

“Lovely restful stay in comfortable, very well furnished and equipped apartment with private garden and a view to the sea.
The furniture is modern and comfortable, and everything is immaculately clean.
Just a few minutes drive to the most beautiful beaches on the island.
As others have mentioned, the apartment is reached by a short but very steep slope and steps. Personally, I found this a bit of a challenge, but if you're reasonably fit and healthy this shouldn't be a problem.
Alyson is a very friendly and approachable host who couldn't be more helpful.
We would have stayed longer if the days had been available.

“We had a fantastic week staying here and would definitely recommend it! Alyson and Anthony were great hosts who could not have done more for us. The property is in a great location less than 10 mins walk to the nearest beach and around 20min walk to Jolly Harbour. There are regular buses that go to Jolly Harbour and St.Johns from the main road - you just have to wave your hand and they stop!
On walking to Jolly Harbour there are a number of restaurants on the main road - within walking distance.
The property has fantastic views and is clean and tidy and has all the amenities you could need.
Alyson provided us with a contact for a local driver who could take you to the supermarket in Jolly Harbour if needed aswell as a contact for car hire.
Overall we would definitely recommend great value for money and we’d love to return one day.”
“Antigua was wonderful. Our place was very nice it had everything we needed and more. We lived the private outside space that provided shade on the hot Days. We did not rent a car, so walking is doable but be ready for a steep climb up the hill to the apartment. We did use the local bus with no trouble except we did not see them in the evening. Two of the nicest beaches are just a short walk. Alyson and Anthony were very helpful when we needed anything, and even arranged to have a ride to get groceries on our 1st day. “My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Alyson's place. It couldn't have been more perfect. It was peaceful, private, and very clean. It is located almost across the street from one of the best beaches on the island and less than ten minutes from other top rated beaches and restaurants in either direction.
Alyson was an incredibly welcoming host. She was so friendly, and thoughtful enough to include a few drinks and snacks in the kitchen.

“We stayed at Alyson’s place for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations.
First the basics - the apartment was well furnished and spotless. The kitchen was clean and had all the items that we needed. The bed was comfortable and we had plenty of room for clothing and such. Very well thought out.
But what really made the stay enjoyable was the view we had with our morning coffee and our evening drinks - simply stunning. It was so nice to have our own patio area for meals outside!

The place is extremely clean and organized; it has everything you would need for a week-long stay in Antigua. “Our stay at Alyson & Tony’s was nothing short of fantastic. The location is wonderful, with 2 of our favorite beaches on the island on your doorstep.
Our hosts helped us to arrange a rental car, a taxi to get back to the airport, gave us the best recommendations and even drove us to the supermarket on our first afternoon.
The view from the flat is even nicer than the pictures show, we had the best time and can but thank them for some of the best hospitality we’ve had from an Airbnb. Make sure you go to this place !”
“Wow wow wow- my husband and I loved staying here. Great location with a view of the sea. There are several sandy beaches within a 10-15 minute walk. The accommodation felt spacious and incredibly well supplied with plenty of fab equipment for the kitchen, garden and beach. Alyson (and Tony) could not have been more helpful and responsive to any of our questions and seem to have thought of everything their guests could need. Lovely people and this place really felt like home for our 12 day stay. I agree with a previous review that this property is up a hill and to enjoy the area it is best to hire a car but if you don't mind a rocky road hill and some steps you can go without. We are in our 60's but managed both and absolutely loved everything about our stay. Thank you so much”
“Our stay at Alyson’s was wonderful and she’s an amazing host! As others have said, the pictures don’t do it justice. The outside space was very relaxing and the inside was as well. Everything was spotless and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked so we ended up cooking quite a bit given the bbq was ideal for us. There are all sorts of little touches in the space that make things very easy. Recommendations in the area; if you want to try local food (extra bonus - run by women entrepreneurs), highly recommend The Fox House and Morlene’s. Plus go to the local vendors on the side of the road for the most fresh fruit and vegetables. As far as beaches, Darkwood and Ffryes are both great and recommend!”

“It was our first time in Antigua, but defiantly not the last. From the very first minute we checked in, this place felt like home. It was well organized and had everything you might need to feel like you just relocated from your Canadian to Caribbean home. I mean it, from extra towels to the knitting kit, from bottle opener to cozy blankets so you can seat outside and enjoy the ocean view. If I ever relocate to Caribbean I would be happy to have the home like Alyson's and Tony's Airbnb place. Thank you Alyson and Tony to make our stay so pleasant and memorable. “This airbnb is perfect, very clean and has every thing we needed even the use of beach towels. It is situated in a very safe and quiet neighbourhood, plus it also has a gate that looks with a key. Another thing that is important to mention is their backup system. They have solar panel on the roof of their house, a big generator, and a big water reservoir. You do not need to worry about running out of water or no electricity.
One big plus for us was the fact that you could spend time outside in the shade or in the sun, almost any time of the day. There are lots of amazing beaches nearby, and Jolly Harbour is just 5 or 10 minutes drive, where you will find a grocery store, (with a banking machine inside), a pharmacy. There is also a place call Amarrs Tour in the little strip mall which sells sim cards and phone plans, and the girl was very helpful.
The owner lives above and are very quiet, and so helpful.”
