“We had a lovely time at this riverside property! Kiki was very responsive and is in the area if anything needs attention. There will be barking dogs and chickens in the morning, but that wasn’t a bother to me. Lots of trails in the area and easy trips to town! Thanks Kiki!!”
“This place honestly was so great I have a large family and finding something actually accommodates it is challenging
We spent most of our time exploring the area and enjoying the outdoors but evenings were awesome. My kids piled into the living room to watch movies and laugh and be kids.
My teens hardly spent time on their phones for a change and making healthy meals was easy as the house is stalked with dishes and pots and pans, hell I could have baked to be honest.
I would recommend this place to anyone but even if you have small kids they will love it as it’s got toys and a trampoline and a playground like wow”

I believe Kiki has a lot of projects in mind, the challenge is that many of them appear “in progress”, so the grounds are cluttered with a lot of items. The listing pictures show a clean yard, but reality is items are strewn everywhere.
My primary note is not one of criticism, but simply listing details:
The bigger problem with Airbnb is that “entire home” doesn’t really match reality. There is a caretaker living in the duplex, along with a cat, chickens, and two large dogs. While none are of direct contact, they can be seen, heard (and smelled).
The space is large, the kitchen very usable, and the full bathroom is shiny and new.
The cat moves all night (over your head) and meows constantly. The dogs should make anyone feel safe, but their bark is loud and triggered with any outside movement.
Real potential.”

The worst part was how terrible it smells of animal/cat urine.
After our first night stay we took all the bedding off and found many old and newer stains on all 3 of the mattress protectors.
Even with every window opened the smell didn’t go away & became worse once we removed the bedding.
Kiki issued us a full after our
first night stay.
With a lot of TLC this property could be great. But until then beware.”

“At Last is a great place! The host equips the kitchen with all necessities, the rooms are full of toys for all ages, the yard is big, with adventurous toys. Nobody will be bored there.
I can’t say how great Kiki was: home made bread that wait for her guests, fresh eggs from hens that you can meet in person, and so on.
Surrounded area is lovely but not very easy to enjoy without car.
We really enjoyed staying there!”

“Lovely place to stay if you have kids. We had a family group with 4 adults and 6 kids, and there was enough room for everyone. All the play equipment in the yard was awesome for the kids. The trail down to the river is a bit steep in places but still okay for preschool aged kids with help from the adults. It is off-grid, with solar panels and generator for electricity and gas for the stove and hot water. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, cooking equipment, and some staples. Nice big dining table. Some more seating in the downstairs common area would be a nice addition. There are two large, friendly dogs on the property, which the owners made an effort to contain for us because our dog is a bit reactive. Overall a great stay, we would consider staying here again in the future.”

“Perfect space for a family trip if you want to unwind. The attached unit is quite private unless you have kids because they will definitely want to play in the yard with the two boys who live next door :) We had a wonderful time and you barely notice that you're offgrid, wi-fi is pretty good all things considered and the kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked (including sharp knives which is alway a plus for me). Ooh and there are chickens!”

“Unfortunately this place did not work for us really. Kiki is very helpful and tried to help, but the lack of more than one proper bathroom and the fact that there were only 3 proper bedrooms was a problem. In addition there is a very friendly pig located just outside one of the bedrooms, which meant we had to keep that window closed all the time. We had high hopes for this place and the fact that it was 'off grid' did not bother us, it just didn't work for us. We moved to a lakeside house after 4 days for the rest of our stay.”
“Great spot for a family vacation!
Both the kiddo (2 y.o.) and the dog had fun, while the parent were able to relax. Very kid-friendly with lots of games, books, puzzles, swing set (a favourite!), inflatable pools, and best of all for parents with a toddler: baby gates and baby proofed cupboards. The large yard was great for kid/dog exploration; it provides a lot of room for all the play gear, but also has a BBQ, lounging chairs, and fire pit not too far off.
The best was probably the short distance walk (3 min) to the river where you can swim and catch crawfish, and the many trails for short or long hikes.
Also, great host! Wonderful & generous person with adorable kid! Not to mention their own pets that fast became friends with our dog.”
