“It is a lovely and cozy place with a peaceful atmosphere. Joper warmly welcomed us when we arrived and the check-in was very smooth with clear instructions. One great move from the host was keeping the bed heating on when we arrived, which was really appreciated since it is winter. The place was clean and comfortable, including the bathroom and the location is excellent for a private stay. Only around a 10 minute drive to the airport. We had a great couple of nights here and really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who's visiting chc! ⭐️”

It’s located in a new neighborhood, so don’t worry if Google Maps shows it as an empty lot… it’s not updated yet. The area is very nice and quiet.

Joper's place is great for a few days' stay and exploring Christchurch. It's well-located, just a few minutes from the city center. There's no kitchen, but there are plenty of dining options downtown. The room is super comfortable, very clean, and easily accessible. Joper is a fantastic host, and we had a lovely chat when we arrived. Highly recommended.

“Great host, very friendly, very flexible and responsive to messages. The place was great, very tidy and clean, a lovely ensuite bathroom, and comfy bed. The location was a bit of a drive into the centre of Chch (about 20 mins give or take traffic) but that was my bad for not checking the map lol. It was very quiet and you have your own entrance so it is easy to come and go. The fridge was a great addition to the room and we used it a lot, very handy.

“Only problem was a construction site that is right next to the house. If we didn't put curtains on, workers could see us and were waking us up around 6:30. But I think that is just right now until they finish, the room was great, everything as said and presented. Would stayed here again. 😊👍”
“I just needed a place for the night and it was a last minute booking. The place is new and very clean. Finding the place was slightly difficult and so was opening the door (host helped me out because I was able to find him). This place is out of the city but very close to the airport. All in all it was good and clean. The blinds/curtains let light in and it gets bright at 5am in Christchurch. Construction is going on closeby so it's noisy during the day. There is also TV noise and noise from the house as this is a room (separate entrance) in the house.”
