I am a mother of two wonderful adult children. Love to discover the world, have been to Nerja several times before I decided to buy a residence. When I travel, I always want to stay in a cozy place where I can feel at home and where there is some distance to most things so that I can walk to the beach, the grocery store, etc. This is my first time hosting here on Airbnb because I recently bought the apartment. Hosting, for me is just like hosting here in Gothenburg, i.e. guests should love to be at home with me and feel at home. My motto right now is, in my garden, I will try to grow organic herbs that guests can enjoy, and YOU, dear guests, are more than welcome to water/tend to them if you want to or feel like doing so.
When you are in Nerja, don't forget to visit La Heradura, Frigiliana, Maro and Mijas. You'll love it.

A private renovated roof terrace 55 m2 with panoramic views of Nerja, the sea and the mountains. All terraces, bedrooms renovated 2025. The apartment has AC and open in 4 different directions with two additional private terraces with sea and mountain views. Private garden avocado, lemon, olive, fig trees. The nature surrounding area is breathtaking hiking trails to the mountains & Frigiliana. The pergola that is visible in the picture is down assembled, it will be restored at another time. The space Apartment for 4 people with private rooftop terrace of 55 m2 with panoramic views of the sea,mountain and Nerja Town. The apartment has its own entrance gate. Free parking is available just outside the house. The garden is quite large with mature avocado, citrus, olive and fig. Guest access - One double bedroom with a balcony (7 m2) with view of nature, sea. - A living room with double sofa bed with a terrace (12 m2), with views to the sea, mountains and Nerja town. - Private roof terrace 55 m2 with panoramic views - Newly fresh totaly renovated bathroom with tub and shower, large mirror and spotlights. - A fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven, washing machine, coffee / teapress, kettle, microwave, etc. - Community Pool. - Private garden. “Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit! Gerne möchten wir diese Unterkunft weiter empfehlen und kommen gerne noch mal wieder. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und die Aussicht wunderbar. Mit dem Auto und zu Fuß konnten wir entspannt viele Orte und Strände erreichen.

“Wir haben 9 Tage in der Unterkunft von Ester verbracht. Es gibt einen sehr schönen Garten und eine schöne Dachterrasse.
Die Ausstattung ist wirklich sehr gut, es ist alles wie in der Beschreibung vorhanden.
Wir empfehlen ein Auto wenn man diese Unterkunft mietet, da sich diese relativ weit vom Strand und vom Stadtzentrum befindet.

“We hebben het heerlijke gehad in het gezellige appartement van Esther. Je hebt een prachtig uitzicht op de omgeving en de zee. Het heeft een fijne en sfeervolle keuken wat goed is uitgerust met alle nodige apparatuur. Ook bijna alles wat je nodig kunt hebben voor koken en tafelen was voor handen. De enige minpuntjes: het bed was voor ons erg hard en de tuin van het appartement was wat verwilderd. Het zwembad is verouderd en het was jammer dat er geen ligstoelen bij het zwembad zijn. Het appartement ligt aan de rand van Nerja, vlakbij de snelweg. Omdat er weinig verkeer is merk je daar bijna niets van. Nerja is een leuke plaats en voor de fitte vakantieganger is het loopje naar het stadje prima te doen. Dit hebben wij één keer gedaan en vonden het laatste stukje terug omhoog best pittig. Daarna hebben wij de auto steeds beneden langs de hoofdweg geparkeerd en zijn van daaruit naar het centrum gelopen. Al met al een heerlijke vakantie gehad!”
“Una casita aceptable pero sin nada extraordinario,salvo la vista desde el salón. El orden y el cuidado de la casa tiene fallos a la vista. Hormigas. El baño no es nada práctico, y para absolutamente todo hay que coger el coche. Eso sí, es muy tranquilo para descansar. Las terrazas en Julio y Agosto no las disfrutarás por la calor que hace pero si quieres hacer un barbacoa tienes esa opción que se agradece. La cama de matrimonio bastante estrecha. No volveríamos”
“La casa es tal y como se describe en las fotos, el salon-cocina están unidos y es muy amplio, el baño está bien y la habitación es sencilla pero cómoda. Es un lujo los espacios exteriores (los balcones).
Detalles a tener en cuenta:
-se tarda andando unos 40 minutos a la playa/calas mas cercanas y al centro de nerja unos 45 minutos, en coche 5/8 minutos
-hay uber, y por unos 6/8 euros, llegas al centro y a las playas/calas
-la casa está alejada del centro
-ningún bus te lleva hasta ahí, la parada de buses (si llegas a nerja en bus) está a 40 minutos de la casa andando
-si vas andando la bajada no te costará, pero la subida....muy inclinada.
-llevad cangrejeras para las calas, actividades de agua,etc.
-la piscina comunitaria está siempre a tope”

“Lovely apartment in a quiet area. Lots of private outdoor space with a large roof terrace, but mostly we spent our time on the smaller terrace off the livingroom. Toldo for shade, a gentle breeze, and fantastic views of sea and mountains. We especially enjoyed sitting there at night when it was incredibly quiet looking out over the lights of Nerja. The apartment has everything we needed. I definitely recommend a car since it is quite far out of town but it's location was ideal for us. Esther is a great host, and contracted us proactively to check everything was ok. I highly recommed both her as a host and the property.”
“Sehr freundliche und kommunikative Gastgeberin. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich und ausreichend für ein Urlaub. Tolle Aussicht mit viel Ruhe. Für mich persönlich von der Lage nicht ganz optimal. Aber wir hatten ein Auto und somit konnten wir alles schnell erreichen. Es war die richtige Entscheidung nach Nerja zu kommen. Und ein Ausflug nach Frigiliana muss unbedingt gemacht werden. Zum Baden ging es hauptsächlich zur Playa la Burriana. Nicht nur weil es der nächst liegende Strand ist sondern auch weil der Strand alles hat. Klares Wasser. Bei Bedarf genügend Liegen. Viele Bars und Restaurants. Viele Toiletten und einige Sportaktivitäten. Es gibt zwei große Supermärkte in der Nähe der Unterkunft. Auch mit ein Spaziergang gut erreichbar.”
“We really enjoyed staying at Esther's place for 11 days while in Nerja. Esther was so helpful providing instructions before we arrived and offered recommendations and was also very responsive during our trip. Her apartment was really homely and well equipped with all the nice to have things that most places don't offer such as rack to hang wet clothes, really nice outdoor furniture, a BBQ and air conditioning. The location was very quiet and peaceful (great for star-watching on the terrace!) which is what we were looking for during our stay. Getting around without taxis or walking long distances is slightly more difficult but this did not impact our stay negatively. It's 15 mins walk (downhill) to shops and 30 mins back (uphill!). Esther gave us a number number for a local taxi company which were always very quick to arrive and very friendly. (Avg. cost of taxi to Balcon was €8). I would 100% recommend Esther as a host and her place to stay - thank you so much again!”

We kwamen binnen en het was heel schoon en het rook erg lekker.
Vanuit het dakterras is het uitzicht echt geweldig. Je kijkt uit op de zee en de stad Nerja.
Nerja is binnen 5 minuten te bereiken per auto.

“Esther ha sido muy cordial y la comunicación con ella ha sido muy buena. El apartamento cuenta con lo necesario para pasar unas buenas vacaciones. Cuenta con parking enfrente del apartamento y piscina pequeña pero suficiente para un buen baño. El apartamento está en una urbanización tranquila. En coche todo lo tienes muy cerca; supermercados, playas, calas...y a nosotros que nos gusta andar no hemos hecho mucho uso del coche porque bajábamos andando al pueblo y playas. Por poner un pero creo que es necesario poner cortinas realmente opacas ( tipo foscurí) en el cuarto de matrimonio y comedor para poder dormir y descansar mejor ya que entra demasiada luz. Otro pequeño "pero" es que no hay que dejar nada de comida encima de la encimera porque aparecen las hormigas rápidamente del jardín de abajo. No hay campana extractora pero hay buena ventilación con las ventanas. Sofá cama cómodo y la cama de matrimonio también. Una recomendación :creo que es bueno dejar cosas básicas como aceite, sal azúcar y especias pero demás comida que van dejando otros alquilados mejor que no , primero porque no se sabe la manipulación que ha tenido esa comida y segundo tuve que tirar cosas porque se habían llenado de bichitos. Además quita espacio para poder poner la comida o latas que traes etc. ,ya que no hay despensa ni cajones para ello. Solo lo pongo como recomendación. Sin duda volveriamos porque hemos estado muy agusto y como dije Esther es muy buena anfitriona.”

“The apartment has everything you need to cook any dish, great oven and hob and many utensils, pans, toaster etc. There was also oil, salt, herbs etc. The apartment is a good walk from town and hilly, but doable though a car helps for shopping etc. Esther was very helpful with good communication. Shower is over bath and is a good one. Plenty of hangers in wardrobe and TV has HDMI socket to connect your own devices. There is Spanish and German channels. Heating on Aircon worked well as it was a bit chilly in the evening and early morning in Novemeber, though we were blessed with blue skies and sunshine every day! A visit to the hilltop village of Frigiliana is worth it, beautiful.”

“Die Wohnung in Nerja ist sehr schön an einem Hang gelegen mit toller Sicht auf das Meer. Die Ausstattung lässt fast keine Wünsche offen von der Waschmaschiene bis zur Spühlmaschiene. Die Terrassen sind der Hammer. Check in und Kommunikation via Whatsapp waren top.
Eine Sache sollte jedoch erwähnt werden und zwar, dass aufgrund des Kamins die Wohnung bei geschlossenen Türen recht stark nach kalter Holzasche riecht. Wenn das Wetter gut ist und man alle Fenster aufmachen kann spielt das wenig Rolle. Bei schlechtem oder kaltem Wetter ist es jedoch durchaus relevant. Da die Nase ja ein adaptives Organ ist haben wir es später kaum noch gemerkt, stellen aber jetzt Zuhause fest, dass unsere Kleider nach Rauch riechen. (PS wir haben den Kamin natürlich nicht genutzt aber der Rauchgeruch sitzt halt in der Wohnung)
Nichts desto trotz hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt in Nerja und würde wiederkommen!”

Roofterrace was also nice place to spend the hottest hours of the day. Location of the house was a little bit far from everything. If you like walking or you have a car there is no problem!

“Esthers home was the nicest we had in our holiday. We arrived a day earlier than expected but it wasn’t a problem and we received the key. The home is in a nice quiet area almost out of town. There are a lot of parking spots around. A supermarket is just 15 minutes away by foot. It is located on a hill so we had one of the nicest view of the city one can get.
The home has a kitchen wich has everything you need. There is even a juice press for fresh orange juice. A big living room with a stove and a big couch. The view from the balcony out of the living room is amazing. The roof terrace is the best part about this. We spend lots of time up there sun bathing and relaxing. In the evening you can see the whole coastline in lights. The bedroom comes with its own air condition and a large bed. There is even a balcony facing the garden that we didn’t use though. The garden is nice and quiet but we spend a lot of time on the roof terrace.
The main beach is not far and easy to reach by car. It is probably half an hour by foot. There are some umbrellas up on the roof terrace that we used.
All in all this is a nice location and a beautiful home!!! We are probably gonna be back next year!”

“Esther was an attentive host who made our stay comfortable and relaxed. It is a superb house with beautiful sea views, high up over Nerja. We did not have a car and enjoyed walking in the Area walking down into Nerja over to maro and the cueva de Nerja. All manageable on foot.
Nerja has mAny nice beaches our favourite being playa Carabeo it being small and relatively quiet. We did not mind the final walk up the hill to the house. It kept us fit. Altogether a great stay.”

Takterrassen är superfin och kan utnyttjas även lite svalare och blåsigare dagar om bara solen värmer. Vi upplevde lägenheten väldigt trivsam, köket med matplats funkar jättebra, vi lagade mat varje dag utan att sakna något. Återvänder mycket gärna!”

“Ok, only home in Ireland 2 hrs, but no doubt we will revisit Nerja again. If we are really lucky, Esther Kinabo’s apartment may be available. It’s everthing as advertised. It’s stylish and modern. Set up on a height overlooking nerja, it offers exceptional views and privacy whilst still being 15 min walk to 2 very good bars/food. And 2 excellent supermarkets. The apartment is “ geared up” for dining at home albeit we did not make use of it.
For sunbathing, the top terrace is excellent and private. Can’t rate this property high enough. The area is still being developed but do not think this is a “ building site” it’s not, but looking at the properties being built, this is, an area of very exclusive development.
One consideration is that it is on a height so a steep walk home for 800M or so. No big deal for us but just want to make sure this Is a balanced review.
So, in brief. 10/10 and we would return again tomorrow if we could

Liten trädgård med sittgrupp, ett par fruktträd och lite örter. Vackra omgivningar, fridfullt läge trots närhet till vägen ovanför. 2,2 km promenad till Burrhiana beach och lite mer till Nerja centrum. Dubbelsängen är endast 140 cm bred, men bäddsoffan är ok.”

I believe public transport is however also very easily accessible as well as local amenities by foot. The apartment was clean and modern with everything you could want. Die Berge sind so nah zum Wandern, in Richtung Osten hinter Maro finden sich viele tolle Strände sowohl bewitschaftet als auch unbewirtschaftet, meist jedoch nur zu Fuß zu erreichen. Ideal für Menschen die sich gern bewegen. Aber auch viel Trubel, Stadtstrand mit allem drum unnd dran , Flamenco, Tapas-Bars, Shopping u.v.a.m. hat Nerja zu bieten.”

“Great appartment, nice interior and outside spaces. Good location with nice views, but I would advice to have your own car to get around. Esther is a good host who is easily reached. We stayed with 2 people. There is room for more (sofa) but it might get a bit small. But if the weather is good, plenty of space to get outside!”

En urbanisation under udbygning med fint nyt vejsystem - mangler lige opkørsel til indkørsel så bilen ikke skal stå på gaden, havde dog ingen problemer med parkeringen udenfor. Der er stadig dejlig megen "luft" omkring boligen og udsigt til landlige omgivelser.
Lidt langt til byen og havet - det var der dog gjort godt opmærksom på i beskrivelsen;) Vi havde en dejlig uge hvor vi havde megen fornøjelse af især terassen og ikke mindst byen, havet og naturparken tæt ved til vandreture.”
“Good apartment with fantastic views, and well suited to people who want to be far from bars, restaurants, shops, etc. It is a long walk into Nerja though (45 minutes to the town centre), which is all down hill. The return journey is either a much longer walk up steep hills or a €10 tax ride. Additionally the local bar in Capistrana (a 15 minute walk) is only for tourists so doesn't have a Spanish feel or food. The parking space is useless as the kerb is 15cm high, but parking outside is no trouble.
Nerja is a good town with a good mix of Spanish and other bars and restaurants, and other places nearby (Frigiliana - 1 mins by car; Granada - 1 hour by car; Salobrana - 25 mins by car) are excellent trips out.
In summary if you want to be away from the crowds and have fabulous views, perhaps using this as a touring base, and don't mind the noise of a nearly major road, this would be a good choice.”
“The stay in Esther's house was fantastic! The fews from the terraces in the house are stunning and the house itself was perfect for the two of us. The town and a number of beaches are all within walking distance, but if you are not into walking too much you can get a taxi to any of these places for about ten euros, or you could rent a car or moped. There is a pool right beside the house and also a roof top terrace for sunbathing, which is perfect for a lazy day at home. Esther is a great host and got back to us immediately with any questions we had. We would definitely come back again!”
“Fabulous apartment, perfect for a couple who are after a quiet place to stayThe balcony is just to die for , you have spectacular views over Nerja . Although I'd say it's better if you have a car. You can walk down to the beach/ town ( 30 mins or so) but walking back up ( especially in the heat ,is a killer!!!) But overall very enjoyable experience clean, quiet and stunning views.”

“My friend and I stayed at this apartment for four days.
We immediately loved the apartment, the views are incredible, especially from the roof terrace.
It was wonderful in the evening, we sat outside at the roof terrace sipping wine, gazing at the views for hours and watched the sun go down.
The apartment has its own entre gate and private garden. The house was clean, fresh and the beds comfortable.
The kitchen needed a little bit of remodelling but is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare food.
We mostly used the BBQ though as we preferred the outside living style and the sun.
We walked down to Burriana Beach as well, which is not far at all, but our way back was uphill to the apartment so we did take a bus back.
Esther is a very easy person to deal with and she helped us a lot with information and directions.
I will definitely book this apartment again and stay longer in order to explore nearby villages around Nerja.

“Vi tillbringade fyra veckor och hade det mycket bra i lägenheten och Nerja. Kontakten med värden har varit mycket bra. Lägenheten infriade våra förväntningar. Gatan till lägenheten iordningställdes under vår vistelse där.”
“I booked the apartment in May this year for August and had a good and friendly contact with Esther, the host, beforehand. She was always very helpful.
6 days before our arrival, Esther contacted me and said the road in front of the house obviously is under construction and that there is no parking lot for a car. She offered to cancel for free, but since it was too short-termed, there was not really a chance to find an appropriate alternative. So we agreed that we would find a solution, if it is really bad and loud.
When we arrived, the road was really a mess, but after telling Esther, she was very cooperative.
The apartment itself looks better on the pictures than it actually is, but it was okay. The outside area (balconies, rooftop terrace) was better than the inside. We heard that it will be renovated soon. The views from the terrace were just amazing and the little city of Nerja is very beautiful.
The apartment is quite a distance away from the city center, but therefore safe and quiet. We would recommend to rent a car (not possible to park somewhere due to situation of the road) or a scooter.”
“My host was in contact by email and by text but there was no host to meet us on our arrival. As a result of this, it took us over an hour to locate the property (in the dark). We did get notification that the road to the property wasn't 100% complete so we wouldn't be able to park in the driveway, however what we discovered was that the road was completely under construction (to the point that taxis refused to go up it). Although the property was clean and as per the description on the site, we were disappointed that there was absolutely no basic supplies e.g. soap, bin bags.
Nerja was beautiful and the area where the property was located was safe and well kept (despite the construction site on one side) but we did feel it was over prized based on above.”
