My other passions are our local history (I host the Ardchattan parish archive) ; caring for my land, enhancing the habitats, biodiversity, and implementing regenerative and permaculture methods to improve the Living Larders around.

“Well, what should I say? It is definitely the most homelike rental we had on Airbnb. Everything (and beyond) was there, great attention was given to details in the house but also the information which could be useful for guests, whatever their interests would be.
The house was big, very comfortable in all details and makes you feel at home the minute you enter.
WiFi is excellent, no problems with streaming even using note than 1 appliance at the same time.
We were personally welcomed by Jill (and the red housecat) and checkout was also very personal. She lives next door but you have full privacy at all times.
All facilities are in 15-minutes nearby Oban although Benderloch has its own village store.
Staying here is a one of the best choices you can make on the west coast, so don't hesitate to book!”

Jill met us at the door and gave a brief tour which was helpful. The eggs and treats were a very nice touch. Her thoroughness is shown in the very detailed binders, guestbook and brochures to make sure the guest is aware of all their options. “After a long journey, we didn't arrive at our accommodation until the evening. Jill gave us a friendly welcome, showed us around the house, and we felt right at home immediately. It is very spacious, offering plenty of room, and features a fantastic, large kitchen equipped with everything one might need—and much more besides. A huge living room with a fireplace and cozy seating invites you to linger, as does the spacious conservatory, which warms up beautifully in the sun. The garden is also lovingly landscaped, with fragrant flowers and shrubs blooming everywhere.
From here, you can embark on wonderful excursions into the surrounding area, whether by car or on foot.
Jill is very friendly and always reachable whenever you have a question.
Kintaline House is definitely a highly recommended place to stay in this region. We would happily return.”

The house is spacious and very well equipped with a large kitchen and living room, large bedrooms and a lovely private garden where we were able to eat outside ( we had wonderful weather) and play badminton.
Jill met us on arrival and had even lit the fire for us, and left us some delicious treats. Everything had been thought of with great care.
The area is beautiful with stunning scenery around every corner and plenty to do in the local area and beyond.

“Het huis van Jill is echt een mooie plek! Het is ruim en grappig ingedeeld. De keuken is compleet met alles wat je nodig hebt om te verblijven. Fijn dat er er een wasmachine en droger zijn, want het klimaat van Schotland met regen als je het niet verwacht maakt dat je soms kleding moet drogen. Badkamers zijn prima en ruim, douchen in bad is voor ons geen probleem maak kan voor mensen die wat minder goed mobiel zijn, lastig zijn. Het grote bed in de kamer boven is echt ruim en het slaapt heerlijk. Door de ligging kan je veel kanten op, kastelen, kust en bergen...alles is in de buurt. Jill is nabij, dus als er iets is helpt zij onmiddellijk!”

“Our recent stay at Jill's place was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a cosy heaven. The interior design was a beautiful blend of rustic charm and modern comforts. We were welcomed by handwritten beautiful note by Jill. Living room was adorned by sofas and literally a library consisting of more than 1000 books. It had a fireplace too. Kitchen was equipped with all the essential crockery and all the spices, condiments and everything you can think of. Beds were so comfortable with soft and luxurious linens, duvets and pillows. First floor bathroom was so huge and with all the necessary items. It had a beautiful outdoor garden and a glass-covered seating area with more than 20 boardgames. While AirBnb was a heaven, Jill was the best host I've ever met. She welcomed us with warm greetings and a basket of local goodies. This is short of 1000 characters or this deserves a whole book written on this heaven AirBnb of my life .Definitely recommended. Thanks Jill”

Jill is a wonderful host, she gave us great dining recommendations and offered local events to go to in addition to all the touristy places. She met us on our arrival and graciously showed us all the features of the home and was extremely responsive to any needs or questions we had. She also gifted us a lovely welcome basket of items we could use and enjoy. There were more things to do in the area than we had time for. This is an awesome place if you’re looking for something convenient to Oban, the islands and Glencoe and so much more! We can’t rave enough about the wonderful experience we had here!”

It’s a huge space and all of the separate seating spaces are great, especially if there are 6 guests; living room, conservatory, dining area, mezzanine, garden. Great location too, just 15 minute drive to Oban and the house feels peaceful and secluded. Jill was an excellent host, very responsive and made us feel very welcome on arrival. “We had a fantastic time at Jill's cottage , staying here for 4N. The cottage is much better than the pictures suggest and everything was exactly as we would have wished for. The location is lovely, a 15 minute drive to Oban. The local town supermarket is a quick 5 minute drive away. The cottage is wonderfully stocked.
Our favourite part of the stay was the conservatory and the garden, we spent hours watching the birds have a go at the bird feeder and reading late into the evening sitting in the conservatory.
The beds are fantastic and Jill's books/DVD collection will keep you occupied in case you want to stay indoors.
Highly recommended and would look for an opportunity to visit Kintaline Cottage soon.”
