Had everything I needed in the kitchen and appreciated the thoughtful details like dropping off spare sheets for someone to sleep on the sleeper sofa, laundry detergent/dryer sheets, a few toiletries, kitchen spices and plenty of towels. Nicely decorated and very comfortable king bed. Oh - and loved the quiet patio - enjoyed coffee there in the mornings and ate dinner there in the evening. Lots of great restaurants not far. “We enjoyed our stay at Sabine's place. The location is great, it was easy to find, plenty of parking space, and the cottage was clean. We gave a 4 star rating because there were a few areas for improvement and it didn't compare with other 5 star listings we have stayed in. The door knob on the bathroom was broken and wouldn't turn so you could get stuck in the room if you shut the door. We informed Sabine and she said she would address it asap. Overall the whole place could use an update. It is very 90's. The shower is super small so beware if you are a larger person. There is a small step up into the bedroom area - you can see it in photos - I think I hit it every time I walked into the space. Thank goodness it is covered with carpet from the 90's. None of these issues would be a cause for not booking, but it doesn't deserve 5 stars.”

“It’s a fine place but the kitchen leaves much to be desired - cupboards hung wrong, no coffee maker (kurig is both crap and wasteful), pots and pans that would have embarrassed me as a 19 year old…. And there is no heater in the place, except a fireplace that has its limitations and which one hesitates to keep on. Once the January cold spell went through that wads ok nut the first four days would have benefited from a wool blanket!
Word to the wise: the Lucky across the street is awful and the Safeway a half mile away is not much better. But Robert’s market in Woodside is worth it jacked up prices!”
“The location is great. You can walk to several grocery stores and a drug store, and even some department stores. You can walk to several nice cafes for breakfast and lunch and a great donut place. Felt very safe. Kitchen is well-equipped. Sabine was very responsive. Nice patio area to sit outside and eat and/or read. Love the fireplace!”

“We stayed at Sabine's cottage for about 10 days and really enjoyed having outdoor access while working from home. The unit had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Sabine warmly greeted me at check-in and gave me a quick tour of the cottage, which made settling in easy. She even offered us some delicious peaches left by the previous guest from their farm—a lovely touch!
The only downside for me was the bedding; I prefer 100% cotton sheets, and the unit had 100% polyester, which can get quite warm. However, my husband didn’t find it uncomfortable. If you have similar preferences, it might be worth discussing with the host in advance.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would happily return to Sabine's place the next time we're in town.”

The kitchen is well appointed and the overall floor plan is a great use of space. We loved the location as well. It was within walking distance of several restaurants and a nice little shopping center. Sabine was also very responsive to any questions we had and was a great host. Another great part of the house was the bed. It is very important to me to have a comfortable bed and this one was great.
Overall, we would stay there again and enjoy the great amenities and location. It is a good place for two people to have a fun getaway or for someone who is visiting on business. We would recommend this house and will keep it on our list for future visits.”
