Lara's apartment is in a great location with access to three (3) freeways, making traveling to ANYWHERE in San Diego easy :)
There are plenty of restaurants and depending on how far you are willing to walk, lots of options for entertainment and shopping.
The tandem parking is extremely helpful and handy. The site has numerous amenities and the neighborhood offered an opportunity to relax.
The description of the apartment was spot on. We enjoyed our visit and would recommend this location to family and friends who wish to visit San Diego.”

Home is comfortable and clean, and the pool was great, it my kids favorite part. Lara is also very responsive and will go out of her way to make sure all is well. We had an issue that was caused by my party, and she has been very understanding. I would absolutely reach out to her again to see if this place is available if I come back to the SD area.”

“A bit of foot steps come from the neighbors above..but not too bad...there was a bathroom next to the master bedroom, with an attached door that made it seem like both rooms had their own bathroom. She was very responsive when I couldn't find the email with the code to get into the

“This is a nice apartment in a development that’s close (~10-15 mins) to a lot of attractions. Very easy to hop on a freeway, so it’s all in all in convenient location.
We were there with our two small kids, and the apartment worked well for us.
Lara was a nice host who helped us with check in and was super responsive and easy to deal with.
Easy parking, and the area was very quiet and peaceful at night.
The place was relatively clean - though some areas were dusty and could have been paid more attention to.
The bedrooms don’t have any sort of darkening shades, so they get bright early in the AM - and one is close to a streetlight, so is also fairly bright at nighttime.
We didn’t use the pool or exercise facilities.
That said, a good place and we were happy with our stay.”

“This apartment is in a great location, convenient to San Diego attractions and nearby shopping. The neighborhood is walkable for daily walks, but not so much for walking to grocery store or mall. One can walk to a small complex across the street with a Jersey Mikes, TJMaxx, Home Goods, Total Wine. The River Walk is close by.
The apartment is roomy for the 2 of us with good drawer and closet space for clothes. It would easily accomodate 4. The stove is electric and older with rubbed out, hard to read settings, but is excellent otherwise. The master mattress is older and may be too soft for some. The washer/dryer and DW work great.
There are 3 ceiling fans plus 3 portable fans to help cool things down. San Diego Gas and Electric has a system in place to preserve power during the drought. They request AC set at 77/78 and not using washer/dryer, DW between 4 and 9 pm. We are in our mid-70's and managed well with that system. Opening the windows at night also cools things down. The AC was off when we arrived--we needed to turn it on and did not realize that at first.
Lara is a very responsive host. She helped us get the AC running. She overnighted a new remote for the TV to replace a malfunctioning one. She appreciated knowing about another unit in the building that had a sprinkler malfunction, causing the fire alarm to go off for all units. Our sprinklers did not go off, thankfully, but Lara was glad to be aware of what had happened.
We did not use the pools or weight room--no time--but they are attractive areas of the complex.”

“This was a cute place that worked well for a wedding we had but unfortunately there was mold in a few places and there were so many ants we had to toss most of the food we had out (in containers) overnight. I did get a quick response about the broken items that I sent photos of but never got any response when I informed her of the mold and ants. Hope they were taken care of for the next visitors.”

“Location of this Airbnb is great and central to the Main attractions of San Diego. I would suggest for everyone to not shower all at once though as we ran out of hot water in the first few minutes. It did get very warm while we were in San Diego (80 def), and the nest is operated by Lara and stays at 77 per her instructions and is very openly shared. It was a little too warm for our baby though so we did have to work around using fans and no sheets because we didn’t want to incur any extra charges. Lara also is excellent with communication and very attentive to your needs or if you have any questions. Check in and parking was easy. Cleanliness and layout of the property is also ideal.”

“The unit is adequate for an "economy" level unit. It is centrally located. Definitely recommend NOT going in August. If you read the fine print you have to pay extra to use airconditioning that actually cools. San Diego was in a heat wave and the host, who controls the thermostat from out of state, wouldnt set it for lower than 78. The unit was in the 80s when we arrived. (The box of trader joes truffles she left were completely melted). Her ad says to lower the temp would be an extra 15 dollars a day but due to some requests from power company we were told after we arrived we would have to pay 48 dollars a day ON TOP of the rates we paid. We just put up with the heat and slept miserably. We also had to pay extra to have a family member visit for two nights. Felt very nickel-and-diming. If you go in the Fall and just need an adequate place to stay the unit is fine. But if you are really wanting a nice vacation, probably not the best option in SD.”

Her place is literally 10 minutes from everything as she advertises. A great spot!
We pool is not heated in February, which was a bummer at first but were able to spend some time in the hot tub instead.
The day we checked in we were notified that there had been a water leak in the kitchen and maintenance had to come the next morning at 9:00 to fix it. For the inconvenience, Lara gave us a credit to cover the cost to go out and get breakfast. Such a nice gesture on her part.

“As first time visitors to San Diego we were undecided as to the best place to stay for ease of visiting the many attractions and after looking at a number of properties we kept coming back to this one. We were right to do so as it is so well located and a great place to come home to after days out. Pleasantly furnished and a decent size the property is in a quiet location with its own parking, there are also two swimming pools which we found were never busy. Local amenities are just minutes away including supermarkets and restaurants...I would not hesitate to come back to this property again...”

“Our group of 6 were in town for the weekend and really enjoyed our stay at Lara's place! It was amazingly clean (felt like a hotel!) and very spacious - easily accommodated our group. The entire place was very bright and well lit with lots of lights. Bathroom had plenty of towels to go around and also shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and a blow dryer. Lara was very responsive with communicating our check-in information. The couch was so comfy and large that we didn't need the blow-up mattresses for the two people who did not sleep inside a bedroom. We didn't use the kitchen but it was very clean! Since it was very warm that particular weekend, we really appreciated the ice inside the freezer. Washer and dryer were also available for our use. Location was so convenient and extremely centrally located! Having two parking spaces was also very handy. Thank you Lara for a great stay!”
