The hot tub makes relaxing outside a joy, regardless of the ever-changing Lake Tahoe weather The whole home is at your disposal. 3 cars can park in the garage and three in the driveway. There is a ton of wildlife in this location. From birds, to coyotes and bears. Keep looking out the windows, they come when you least expect it.

“We had a wonderful family trip to Tahoe for Thanksgiving! We had all the necessary kitchen items to cook up a feast for 10 people. Open kitchen and living room was a great amount of space for entertaining and having a place for everyone to feel comfortable and at home. Our two dogs loved the fenced in backyard. Our kids really enjoyed the fun movie room, just FYI for those booking, only inside access to it was through a narrow spiral staircase which my mother could not navigate. There is easier access but you just have to go outside to do so. Overall wonderful stay and we would definitely book again!”

“Beautiful spacious home that was well suited for our trip. Appreciated the extra amenities such as movie theater and pool table.
I understand things happen, but not being able to check in early after it being agreed upon did cause some confusion and complications for our group. Frances was proactive in communication and we made it happen.
Again I’m sure it is difficult to control, but we did find mice in our luggage after the first night. We released the mice to the wild and had no further problems.
Overall it is a beautiful home and it provided a great home base for our trip.”
“We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home in South Lake Tahoe! The space was perfect for our group of 5 couples; plenty of room for everyone to spread out, relax, and enjoy the weekend. The house was clean, spacious, and well-stocked with everything we needed. We especially loved the large outdoor deck + hot tub area. The only downside was that there’s no AC, but between the overhead fans and lots of windows to open, we were still able to stay comfortable. Would absolutely recommend for large groups. Hope to be back again!”

“We booked this place for our annual winter Tahoe trip, and our whole group couldn't wait to book it again for future stays. The host, Frances, was so response and accommodating. We needed a pet-friendly place and this fit the bill perfectly. The location is easy to access with easy to access to both downtown and to other resorts outside of Heavenly (we chose to ride Kirkwood on this visit). “My group of 10 had a fabulous stay! The home was clean, extremely comfortable for lounging, and beautifully decorated. Most of us were there to ski, and the home was about a 20-minute drive to Heavenly's CA main lodge. We also love to cook, and France's place had the best equipped kitchen we have ever seen in any rental. If you're hoping to make a big home-cooked meal for a large group, this is the perfect place for it (6-burner gas range, big pots, cast iron pans, etc). The kitchen + living room open floor plan also made it easy for the cooks to continue to engage with everyone else. I highly recommend this place to anyone!”

Frances really came to our rescue too with how responsive she was since our original booking at a different house was cancelled 1 hour before arriving in Tahoe!! “Pine Valley Haus is by far the absolute best airbnb we’ve stayed in and was the perfect basecamp for our ski trip. Our group of nine fit quite comfortably - to echo other reviews, we we’re delighted by how spacious, nice, and comfortable everything in the house was. It really is a gem! The master suite is absolutely stellar with a jacuzzi tub, double shower, and a private sweeping view of Sierra majesty. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub, and the kids loved the pool table and theater room. The kitchen is huge with professional equipment and a butler’s pantry full of every kitchen item you could need and is open to the living room and the cozy fireplace. Perfect for relaxing after hitting the slopes! Thank you Frances for the perfect spot in South Tahoe!”

“Gorgeous and spacious house that makes you feel like you're in the trees. The hosts were so helpful - both in being thoughtful and prompt with communication, but also with all of the amenities they prepared ahead of time. They spared no detail - extra beach towels (visited in the summer), every single pan you'd need to prepare food for a large group, and much more. The house is well stocked and has everything you need for a relaxing weekend away.”

Lots of stairs so those with physical restrictions might have a hard time, something to consider depending on who’s joining your group. Would definitely recommend/return in the future.”

“This past week my husband & I and our two teenage sons stayed at this beautiful home. It was very conveniently located for us to drive up to the Sierra Mountain Ski Resort. We throughly enjoyed our stay in this home. The home is located at the end of a quiet street nestled by a pine forest. Frances promptly met us at our arranged time and showed us around her home. This home is beautifully decorated, comfy, very clean and tidy, the beds are comfy, and the home is well appointed. There is a pool table for family fun, an outdoor hot tub overlooking the pine forest, and a movie theatre room. My sons were quite happy! There was plenty of cozy blankets to use, and lots of bubble bath and lotions to chose from in the soaker tub in the master bathroom. After a day of skiing a soak in the candle lit bath tub while watching the swaying pine trees out the window was truly relaxing and wonderful. It is obvious Frances take great pride in maintaining her home. We would definitely stay in the home again any time of year!”

“France's place is a great option if you're looking for a dog friendly house in South Lake Tahoe. Pros, would definitely be the fab backyard space, the location, and the number of bedrooms/comfortable beds. The backyard was the best thing about the house. It had a great space for entertaining, a clean and large hot tub, and we thoroughly enjoyed the bistro lights which were a nice touch in the evenings. The location was also great, it was a 10 min drive to Raley's (the grocery store) and was also close to several beaches. The only downside to the house is that there's no AC and since we went during labor day weekend it was pretty hot in the house during the day and even in the evening in the kitchen/living room. It was definitely a lot cooler in the basement. We spent some of the evenings outdoors instead since it was a lot cooler outside. All in all we had a great time and appreciated the fast and friendly communication!”
“Frances is an amazing host! She was quick to reply to our questions, responsive to any issue we presented, & was kind & pleasant with every communication.
First, we nearly cancelled this stay because of last minute add ons by family members. I looked and looked and just couldn’t not find a comparable rental that was worth the cost of stay & could accommodate our large family. Frances’ home was large & had plenty of room in the end for us all. The furnishings were of the same quality that I would have in my own home & didn’t feel like a cheap rental when we were in the space. That was exactly what I was looking for... a home away from home experience with an upgrade of beautiful surroundings. The pool table, and movie area in the downstairs were a hit with my family! Her home also has a lovely outside seating space & spa that gave us additional room to spread out & play board games while visiting. The kitchen was fantastic, stocked with everything we needed to prepare some amazing meals.
This trip was a rare chance for my large, blended family of mostly grown children to get together & spend some quality moments. I am very appreciative that Frances took a chance by opening her lovely home to such a big group (13 total with 2 dogs!)! I recommend her home for your Tahoe stay & plan to stay again myself!”

“I honestly cant put into words to describe this lovely home in South Lake Tahoe. It is in a great location (only a small drive to town, literally 5 mins) and the neighborhood is very quiet. The house is much much much bigger than the pictures show and super nice. The house is clean and very well taken care of. Lots of room and the hot tub was ready once we arrived and it is in the most perfect location where you can enjoy nature at its finest. Frances takes pride in her home and why its very nice and well taken care of. Next time im in SLT, either for winter or summer, i'll be staying here!! For sure!! Thank you Frances!!!”
