We highly recommend it. Love that there is a public golf course directly across the street. It is a short walk to a wonderful beach to watch the sunset with a local sing along. Which was so fun!!”
“Mary was very responsive and quick to communicate. Addressed issues in a timely manner. The house lay out is great with two bedrooms downstairs with a sitting area and two bedrooms upstairs with the main living area. The pool was wonderful! The fencing around the pool is perfect for young children, very safe. Two decks one upstairs and one downstairs by the pool. Location is great with the park across the street, and a grassy area if you have a dog. For those who kayak, it is a bit difficult to launch kayaks into the canal from the house, it does not have a ladder, however, I knew that ahead of time. There was manatee in the canal! The twin bedroom had a musty smell. We had to keep the sliding glass door open for the outside breeze. Mary did indicate that she would address this issue at some point. The furnishings are dated; new chairs and mattresses would help.”
“Mary's place is roomy with seating for crew. En suite bathrooms are great. Excellent space for boat. Two refrigerators plus chest freezer provide plenty of room for bait and fish storage. the Kitchen has what you need. Access to garage is icing on the cake. Mary took care of any needs.”

“The house was perfect for five adults and a toddler. Everyone got their own space including bathroom. We appreciated the second coffee pot so we could take it downstairs. If you were flying you would need to pick up a few things but since we drove we had everything we needed. We were near some very good restaurants and spent Christmas Eve in Key West which is an easy drive. Pigeon Key was not open but we walked the old bridge. I would recommend Mary’s house. The location was perfect and the house was comfortable for our family. We were happy we could bring our dog.”

“The property is in a fantastic location. Such a quaint community. The pool was on point and being on a canal gave us opportunity to wet a few lines, see a few manatees and watch boats come and go. We even had time to take advantage of the 9 hole golf course which was so fun! Walking around was pleasant. The small park was great too! If we had more time, we would have enjoyed hanging there a bit too.
Mary was great! From when I found the property to heading out at the end of our stay, she responded within minutes on all correspondence. We had an addition of a new puppy to our family right before our vacay; Mary was kind and helpful in taking care of the necessary steps in ‘registering’ our pup.
I don’t feel it necessary to share that we had a problem with the washing machine because it turned out to be a simple fix; however, when the problem occurred, Mary was responsive and super helpful. Thank you, Mary!

“This was the first time staying in Key Colony. The house is great. We go with a group of 5 that fish every year and the house fit all of the needs. My 29ft boat fit perfect behind the house and the trailer fit in the driveway. Easy to launch on the causeway. Make sure it’s high tide. Cost to launch and recover is $30 ea time. The public ramps charge the same just an fyi. Bait tackle and fuel close by at Vaca cut. Has a bait freezer which is great and helpful. Great spot.”

“My extended family of 8 (four adults and four teens) loved staying at this home. The pool provided the girls endless entertainment and the boys enjoyed fishing in the canal, just a step away. Another big plus was the 4 full bathrooms! And the kitchen is really big, which was great because we prepared a lot of our meals.
Key Colony Beach is a very peaceful community nestled into busier Marathon. Plenty to do in the Marathon area. We kayaked at Curry Hammock State Park (10 minutes away) and snorkeled with Starfish Snorkeling (15 minutes away). We took longer trips to Key West, the Dry Tortugas, and Bahia Honda State Park. Marathon is a great location in the middle keys.”

“Wonderful place to stay! The house was clean and spacious with an abundance of towels (needed for our family) and the washer and dryer were used quite a bit. We loved the two living areas, so the kids could hang out in one while the adults relaxed in the other. We spent most of our time in the outdoor areas - swimming in the pool, fishing in the canal and enjoying the sunsets from the patio and balcony. The guidelines and instructions were clear and Mary provided helpful information about the area.”

Pool heater didn’t seem to work great was hit or miss I wouldn’t suggest paying the extra fee as the climate is so warm it’s really not needed like other places we have stayed in more northern parts of Florida. We really enjoyed our time in the keys and the house worked well for our group.”

For all the non-pet people - This place is pet friendly, and for someone who doesn’t own pets (anymore) I was pleasantly surprised in how clean and fresh the place was. No scent of pets or pet hair in sight lol! The location was perfect, a walk to the beach park, recreation across the street, and a beautiful sunset on the water in the evening by the pool - were our highlights. The beds were very comfortable and we loved how every room had its own bathroom. Can’t wait to stay here again!”
“Mary's place was perfect for our multi-generational family vacation. We have stayed in Key Colony many times and love this location. Everyone enjoyed the short walk to the park and easy access by boat to our favorite fishing spots. The house had ample room for 7 adults with comfortable gathering space inside and out. The pool was a hightlight as well, and after a windy day filled it with leaves and palm fronds, it was promptly cleaned by a pool service without our having to mention it to anyone. Mary was very responsive both before and during our stay and was an excellent host.”

We spent the majority of our time out on the water and the ease of ability to go north or south from Mary's place was awesome. Well equipped for boating as the dock has basic power, fresh water and a fish cleaning station. Mary communicated very efficiently as well!”
“Our family of 7 with mixed aged kids had a wonderful stay! We arrived by boat and check in was a breeze. Mary reached out prior and after checkin to make sure everything was in order for us. She had lots of clear instructions and recommendations for those unfamiliar with the area. We used DoorDash primarily for everything since we did not have a car, delivery to our door was easy and quick. The place was clean, with starter toiletries and basic cleaning items. We really enjoyed the pool and having the dock space right next to it. Also, having the 2 separate levels with large rooms and separate living rooms on each level was great! We would recommend staying in Mary’s home and would go back again.”

Being on the waterfront made all the different as well, we spent our evenings watching fish, sharks and manatees make there way past the property. The pool was a lovely temperate (we didn’t have it heated and it’s was plenty warm!) plus there was ample outside space to relax. The area felt really safe as well, there was a lovely park about a 15 minute walk away and plenty of grocery stores about 10 minutes in the car.”

I was there for a race weekend and was loading our enclosed trailer which would not fit in driveway so parked on side of road for 20 min and was getting hounding about it. Nothing to do with host or home just warning people.”

A bit pricey compared to other places in the area, but you do get access to the beach club in the neighborhood as well as access to the tennis and pickle ball courts in front of the home. The home had some issues (doors not closing, door missing handle, toilet not flushing, etc.) which the host immediately fixed once informed. Overall a great stay for our family vacation- we enjoyed it and would recommend it!”

“This Airbnb was exactly how the pictures looked and how it was explained in the listing. Mary was very quick to respond during our time there. The neighborhood is very quiet. All 10 of us enjoyed watching the manatees, shark, tarpon, jellyfish, and many other species in the canal. The pool was perfect to cool off in after a hot day! The kids enjoyed the pool as well in the evenings. Sunset park, which is very close to this property was a perfect place to go watch the sunset. We went fishing one day and the charter boat was able to pick us up at our dock, which was very convenient! There are many local restaurants close by the property as well as grocery stores. There are so many different islands and so much to do in the keys that we will need to return so we can do more next time!”

There were plenty of kitchen supplies and an outdoor grill to cook our daily fish catch. Mary quickly responded to our questions before and during our stay. “Great place to stay & great location! The value and the spaciousness of this house was perfect, we had seven adults, and we had plenty a room with everyone having their own bathroom was a plus! We didn’t need the pool heated as it was a very nice refreshing when it’s 82 out it was perfect! Mary was very accommodating whenever we had any questions she responded quickly. The house comes with starter supply which is bare minimum’s of soap and paper products so make sure you pick up at the grocery store, extra paper towels, TP soap, garbage bags, Ziploc bags, and any condiments for the kitchen. I would suggest to bring bug spray there are little gnats and they do bite alot around by the pool area!”

It was nice having a pool we could chill after coming in off the boat. Boat slip right behind the house was nice and easy to get to. Canal gives you easy access to the Gullf or Atlantic.”
