“We had a wonderful time at this glamping site! Everything was just as advertised — cozy, clean, and surrounded by beautiful nature. We especially loved the little Dutch touches around the place; they reminded us of our vacation in the Netherlands and made our stay feel extra special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and unique getaway!”

“Absolutely love it here. This is mine and Mike's second time here with our dog Dixie. She is so happy when camping, the wildlife really keeps her occupied. The Host Dan thought of everything you might need when camping. Just bring food and beverages . It's that easy! Great trails to hike on the property and very close to a lot more too. Cabins are spotless along with the bathrooms and pavilion area. I can't say enough good things about this place. Make sure to look up at the stars at night, you will be amazed! This is our favorite place to camp and that's saying a lot since it's 3 1/2 hours from where we live. It's so peaceful here yet plenty to do at the pavilion or in the surrounding area. Book a stay, you won't regret it,!”

“This was the best camping experience I have had. The cabin was so cozy and clean. I love decor style as well. We also enjoyed the pavilion by having a fire and playing cornhole. After dinner we told scary stories by the fire. It was perfect.
In addition, our hike at rock maze was incredible and Swallow Falls was a beautiful hike as well. We finished the day at the beach that was like 2 min away. There was basically no one there, so we got to enjoy the pristine view and gorgeous water all to ourselves. The weekend was perfect. Thanks Dan!”

“Our stay was magical. There were so many special touches around the cabin and the bathhouse/pavilion area. We enjoyed hiking the trails around the property and our dog loved the river access. When it was drizzling one morning the spacious pavilion gave us a dry spot to hang out. Caretakers for the property came through at least once a day and everything felt cared for and considered. Bonus that it’s less than ten minutes into town but still feels secluded.”

“This is a perfect getaway from the usual hotel and beach getaway. The cabin was perfect and cozy. At night when the world settles down all you could hear was nature. Which made for romantic campfires. The cabin is stocked with all the basics to get by. But as a scouting family I brought some of my own gear to cook on and such. There is no electric in the cabins which made the experience. The bath house was clean and close by. It had several stalls to use and even had extra products if you forgot yours. We didn't get a chance to use the pavilion but it has lots to do for families with games and a gathering area. The management staff went above and beyond helping to get flowers placed in the cabin before we got there and even bringing the ones I ordered Saturday moring and surprising my wife when she woke up Saturday morning. We went to Swallow Falls for a hike and to see the waterfall. Then after lunch went to Herrington State Park to the beach front on the lake and spent time in the water and in the sun. Overall this location and trip was way better than I expected and made for an awsome time. This is something I cant wait to do again soon. Thanks again Dan, Bob and wife for taking great care of us. You guys are awsome and look forward to doing this again!!!”

“We were fortunate to be able to stay 7 nights in the Cortina hut. This was a long awaited vacation and the peace and tranquility of the property was just what we needed. The hut was very comfortable but since the weather was so nice we really only used it for sleeping. The campsite was private, surrounded by trees, and included a fire ring and hammock which I made good use of! We spent a lot of time walking on the well-maintained trails on the property, which were a big hit with our dogs who are still dreaming of chipmunks. The Offlake staff were very friendly and helpful and kept the bath house and pavilion very clean and well-supplied. We will definitely return and try one of the other huts. “Enjoyed a relaxing stay in this peaceful and beautiful setting! It really was what I would call convenient camping- excellent location, cozy bed, and pretty much everything you need- as advertised. We hope to return soon!”

“Staying at such a small and well maintained camping area was a real treat. The rock garden trail offered our son a daily bike ride and the other trails gave us (and the dog) lots to explore on foot. The shared pavilion was such a luxury for making dinner and watching movies during the nearly daily rain showers. The HUGE toad that lives behind the pavilion gear cabin and made nightly trips out for bugs was a fantastic surprise. The cabins are nicely situated to offer privacy from one another and being nestled in the woods the night sounds of crickets and katydids were lovely. The bathrooms were clean and AMAZING - real shower stalls with lots of room and abundant wall hooks. The floor was never wet, everything was clean and best of all during the pandemic we usually had the space to ourselves. The location is great being close to Herrington Manor, Swallow Falls , and Deep Creek State Parks.”

“Our 2 day “honeymoon” was wonderful. This place is extremely peaceful. The cabins are spread out so neighbors aren’t an issue at all. The bathrooms/shower house was REALLY nice. We stayed in October so it was a bit chilly at night but we slept in our sleeping bags (we normally tent camp so we were prepared) and a heater was provided. We used it for a little bit the second night just to warm it up before we went to bed. The trails on the property were also very nice. We would def come back and we would also recommend this place.”

“My husband and I were thrilled to have discovered Wild Yough Glamping Huts and will be returning for future visits. The cabins are secluded and yet the pavilion offers a sense of community. We hiked the trails on site and it's a great location near Broadford Lake, Rock Maze Trail, many more state parks and trails, and swimming options. The cabin's cooking supplies were fully stocked and the checklist was helpful. The powerlite supplied can light up the whole cabin and the personal touches of the homemade curtains and decor made it feel comfortable to relax in after a long day of outdoor adventures. Dan's communication was prompt and helpful in planning for our trip.”

“We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Cortina glamping hut. I traveled with my husband, two children (one tween and one teen), and our small dog. The hut was cozy, tidy, and comfortable and equipped with everything we could have asked for. The bathrooms were sparking clean. We spent lots of time playing games at the pavillion, hiking to the river and through the grounds, and hanging out by than campfire in front of our cabin. We saw wildlife including deer, birds, and toads, and varied flora. Dan had great personalized hiking tips for us, and we also visited nearby Herrington Manor, Swallow Falls, and Deep Creek State Parks. This was a wonderful escape for a few days and we can't wait to go back.”

“An awesome combination of comfort and feeling secluded in wild nature. You are going on a nice trail (very clean, but has no signs of wear and tear and seem like a real wild trail), in addition, that those trails are limited to Glamping guests only, you don't meet anyone on the trail... And 40 minutes after walking up and down hills, jumping on the stones over the small streams, you are getting to a small opening next to the river, that has a very cute, sturdy wooden platform over the river with... bunch of guest chairs hidden in the wall and ready for your comfort and use. And those small surprising touches are everywhere.”

“We had a great time. We weren’t expecting the nice bathroom/shower amenities which were an added bonus. The drive to Deep Creek was short, maybe 10 minutes. I definitely overpacked.... the glamping hut came stocked with pots, pans and all cooking utensils you would need to cook over the fire pit. There’s also a grill down at the pavilion along with sinks for washing dishes, charging stations for your cell phones and tons of games for everyone. Only thing I would point out is that u will need to get firewood delivered or just stop at one of the places in town that offer $5 bundles of firewood. We had trouble gathering enough branches on the property to keep a fire going. It’s definitely worth getting the firewood. We had a great time and will definitely be back.”

“This place is an awesome secret in the DCL area. We usually stay in the State Parks, but when all were filled, I found Dan's Wild Yough and it was outstanding. Will definitely use again on future DCL trips. Very clean, pavilion was a cool area with lots of stuff to do if you wanted to hang out. Easily accessible to Swallow Falls and DCL. Clean bathrooms, cabin etc. And Dan was very easy to communicate with. Perfect!”

“This was our second anniversary weekend at the glamping huts and this trip was just as great as the first. We love the simplicity of the place, and were once again impressed by the cleanliness of the campground, bath house, and hut. We so appreciate getting away and being able to unwind on and hike around this lovely property. Not to mention the nearby national parks for additional exploring!”

“The cabin was the perfect size and had just the right touches. We knew it would be a cold and rainy weekend but the tiny heater and a sufficient supply of propane kept us warm. The hiking trails were just what we needed- secluded but easy to navigate. We will definitely be back!”

“Had a great time. Stayed a couple of days for the Autumn Festival and the kids loved this place. Asked if we can come back again next year...this is a rare question from them. It is very close to town if you need anything but out far enough. Very clean and all staying there were friendly.”

“Dan's cabin was great! The check-in instructions were clear and the cabin was just as described. The pavilion was fun and the bathrooms were way cleaner than I expected! We stayed at Cortina, the farthest cabin from the pavilion but it was only about a 1 minute walk. The fire pit has a metal grill cover that makes cooking over the fire easy, and the little gas stove in the cabin was great for making coffee in the morning. Would definitely recommend this place!”

“The property here is amazing. It's our second time coming here and we will definitely be back again. It's right around the corner from swallow falls and the private property it's located on has it's own trails too! Bathrooms are spotless and offer extra amenities like a blow dryer and makeup mirror. The huts are well maintained and homey.”

“Glamping was awesome, and these cabins were super cozy. It was hot during the days we visited in June, so we weren't expecting the nights to be so cold but our cabin (Cortina) was outfitted with plenty of warm blankets. There were also several lights/lanterns in the cabin, which were helpful. The bathhouse was very clean and although Cortina was a bit of a walk away from it, the amenities there made us feel like we were staying in a hotel. The property has a lot of cute trails for walking and fun games at the bathhouse (like a dart board, corn hole, board games, and hula hoops). We found pretty much everything we needed, including a sink for washing dishes, a hairdryer in the women's restroom, a fire pit at our cabin, and cooking supplies.”

“We very much enjoyed the Glamping experience in the Cortina cabin. It is a peaceful setting and the cabins are far enough apart that everyone has plenty of space. Remember to bring small propane canisters. Thankfully, there were 2 nearly empty ones remaining in the cabin--so we were able to cook before running to the store the next day to buy more. I highly recommend staying here.”

“My wife and I had a great time at the cabin. We got to enjoy deep creek and some of the other state parks nearby. This was as much a "turnkey" camping experience as possible.”

“The glamping huts never disappoint. My girlfriend and I have visited 4 times and will continue to return. You cant beat the privacy and overall relaxed vibe of the property. Not to mention the on site hiking and river access. Bob, the grounds keeper, is so friendly and its always great to catch up with him! Look forward to returning a few times in the fall. It is so very beautiful that time of year. Stop thinking about it and book it!”

“My girlfriend and I stayed at the Cortina over the fourth of July weekend and we loved it. The huts weren't too close together and the wildlife on the property was enjoyable. There was even a birds nest on the porch with a few eggs that hatched our last day. The bed was nice, and there was a mattress pad that we put on the bed and that really helped provide a comfortable place to nap and spend the night.
The amenities were great, the showers had very nice water pressure.
We will definitely stay again, maybe even this fall.”

“The glamping cabin was very clean and cozy. We brought our two labs with us and they had the time of their lives playing in the woods. The private trails to the river were very nice and pretty easy to follow. The pavilion was really nice and enjoyable, we used the gas grill every night and on the second night we were fortunate enough to have a clear sky and we had a great view of the stars from the fire pit in the open field next to the pavilion. The bathrooms were clean and better than your average camping bathroom. Overall great experience.”

“The Wild Yeough Clamping experience was a pleasant relaxing weekend getaway to beautiful Western Maryland. The cabin and campgrounds were both clean and well kept. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of kitchen wares and tools which we found out that we may have over packed. Included everything from wine key to cast iron skillet, cutting boards and knives.

The campgrounds are near Swallow Falls State Park and Herrington Manor. However if you have your dog with you for some reason they are not allowed in Swallow Falls state park so heads up on that!

Herrington Manor was gorgeous and peaceful and dog friendly. Wild Yeough has some basic trails near the cabins as well which were great. On our last day we met Bob who maintains the space and he was very kind and even gave us a suggestion to take a scenic route back to Baltimore. If you are heading back to Baltimore take Route 50! It was very scenic and had lots of beautiful mountain views that will take your breathe away. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and hope to head back soon!”

“This was our first time in western maryland camping- we wanted a place for our pup and ourselves that wasnt tent camping. I cannot say enough good things about these cabins!! It was perfect. We cooked on the fire pit every night and made coffee in the morning on our propane stove. You wont need to bring much, they even left a goodie bag for our dog! We shared the grounds with two other couples, whose sights and cabins you cant see or hear. We did have the site to ourselves on the last night, and before one lovely couple had left we enjoyed an evening at the pavillion chatting. Our last evening was spent at the pavillion playing trivial pursuit (the pavillion is loaded with activities and seating) in the very very dark woods! We enjoyed the trails on the property and loved that Dan left his original camping cabin up with a sweet note inside. Dan, the cabin had at least eight birdsnests inside, so i say let it stand! We couldnt access the river from any of the trails, but the view was gorgeous. We spent our days at the Deep Creek National forest (we encountered a family of black bears!) and tried to get into Swallow Falls, but our 3rd party was not welcome. Dan was easy to get a hold of, though when we arrived very late friday the rental agency had given us the wrong key code, we had no service and found a phone at a local 7-11. we called the number supplied by offlake rentals and the nicest man drove to help us. At 11pm! He was great and we were exhausted from the drive. We will be back! Loved it! Thank you Dan!”

“The Cortina Glamping Hut provided shelter for an unforgettable experience. We were constantly blown away by all the amenities provided throughout the site. Everything we needed was already in the hut, even the things we didn't know we needed! The bathroom facility was incredibly modern and went above our expectations. The trails around the site were mostly well marked, and we went on quite the adventure! The huts were very dog friendly, which we really appreciated for our beagle mix! The bed was a bit stiff, which resulted in some sore backs, but obviously it was better than any camping mattress. All in all, we had the most amazing experience and we can't wait to book this again in the future! Thanks so much!”

“My husband, infant daughter, and dog had a wonderful weekend at Wild Yough! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and so much fun to explore and we were very impressed by how nice the hut was, in addition to the other facilities offered on the grounds. Our reservation process and everything else when incredibly smooth as well, and I was extremely impressed by how responsive Dan and his team are! We look forward to returning in the future!”

“We ended up staying in Uzes from Dan's recommendation and it was perfect! The cabin was clean and had all of the amenities we needed for the weekend. The grounds were beautiful and well kept and even with rainy weather there were plenty of activities in the main area to keep us occupied. The trails were lovely and well explored by our pup who had ample room to run around and still be close by. The campgrounds are secluded but also close enough to town in case you forget any necessities. We had a great experience glamping and definitely would come again!”
