“1 burner of the gas stove was broken, caused a fireball. Shower makes a lot of noise waking others. No door on water heater in master bedroom. Smoke detector hanging off ceiling. No CO2 detector. Bring your own cookware, spices, oils etc mastered caused pain to bad back. Bedroom with 2 single beds has a bed that is hard as a table.”

“We truly enjoyed our stay. We came from North Carolina to celebrate my grandson's 6th Birthday 🎂. We enjoyed our walk through the property to the hiking trail. The horses were therapeutic to watch. My other grandsons is nonverbal autistic and to see his eyes light up when he saw the horses and the adventures he and his cousin enjoyed on the hike, running and jumping was a perfect setting for all of us.
The house was well kept and the house rules are simple and worry free.

While the apartment is set on a farm, it is also set amongst many electrical towers which was not expected. It appears the hot water heater supplies water to both units which did leave us without hot water on two occasions.”

“The house was clean and stocked with essentials. I think my grandkids and I wanted to see more horses as it was advertised as a horse farm. Parking was easy, not the greatest view as we overlooked a shed and driveway. Although we thought the fire pit area was fun we didn’t have time to use it. I think a chair in the living room would be a good idea, there was 6 of us and just one couch to sit on. I was very appreciative that Holly gave us a grace hour to check out as we had a late night the night before. All in all it was a good experience.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Holly's place! I traveled with my husband and 2 kids- ages 5 and 1. The place was perfect, not too big, not too small. My 5 yr old son enjoyed the giant rock pile outside and watching the tractor 😅 Check in was simple, and everything was clean and comfortable. PA is close by so we traveled into Shrewsbury for groceries and to go out for dinner. We visited Kilgore Falls which was beautiful! It was only a 15 min drive and about a 10 min walk to the falls. We also took a hike on the property which Holly has listed in her guide book. If you decide to do that use lots of bug spray and some kind of hiking backpack if you have a little one. Overall nice stay. Thanks again!”

“Four of us came up from Southern Maryland to support the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station yearly outage. The place was clean and able to support the four of us comfortably. The surroundings are very peaceful and beautiful, teeming with wildlife. Next year we may try to get both apartments so we don't have to worry about being quiet when the other apartment is occupied. One morning we were kind of loud not knowing the other apartment got tenants overnight. Hopefully we did not disturb them. Anyhow, it is a great place to stay and we highly recommend it. If your not a confident driver. Make sure you check in before sundown. It can be a little tricky maneuvering the last few miles in complete darkness.
Twin beds were a bit high for the kids. No high chair for the baby. I forgot to pack body soap, so had to run out and buy some. So come prepared if you have little ones.

For less than what an average 3 star hotel charges per night, we had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (stacked with towels), a full kitchen with a table that could seat 6 (dishes and cookware included) and a large living room. Surrounded by woods and horse fields, you couldn't ask for a more peaceful stay. A charming (and surprisingly big) grocery store, Saubel's, is only a few minutes drive over the line in PA as well as family favorites like Dunkin Donuts and Chick-fil-A. I highly recommend Holly's Place!”

“Holly was incredible to work with, she was proactive in reaching out to provide all the information we needed, I didnt need to ask for anything. It would have been difficult to find, but Holly sends you a message with detailed instructions and we had no issues following those directions. Everything was spotless and excatly like the pictures, the apartments do echo so you can hear the other apartment, it wasnt horrible, just know its a possibility that if there is a louder group in the other apartment you will hear them. The pavers from the driveway area are alittle steep and uneven ( it is the country so its to be expected) and there are outside steps that get slippery when they are wet, but she does advise you of this in the listing, so it wasnt a surprise. Plenty of parking and space in the apartment, it was a lot larger then I had expected, we had 4 adults and it was extremely comfortable for all of us. We were busy so we didnt get a chance to explore but it looked beautiful!”

“Loved the spot! I highly recommend it!! My family and I were very comfortable there and I made the quick hike down by the creek as recommended in the guidance binder in the house. The only slight drawback to the space is that the wall between our apartment (B) and the other apartment (A) is a bit thin. For 2 of our 3 days there were no other guests so it wasn’t an issue at all. The one day apartment A had guests we could hear them fairly easily through the wall. They weren’t loud or doing anything annoying, just being normal - and we could still hear it. It wasn’t bad at all though, and we really enjoyed the space, seeing the horses, the area in general and Holly’s great communication.”

“PROS: Immaculately clean. Comfortable. The apartment's interior is as pictured in the listing. Near beautiful woods, with lovely horses and a trail that is about 15 minutes hike to river and swimming hole.
CONS, not mentioned in the listing, but part of the experience: (1) it's about a hundred yards away from massive electricity pylons. You won't see these from your window, but you will when you go for a walk. (2) The apartment also shares a wall and a hot water heater with one other apartment, also an AirBnB. If it's small groups in both apartments, or one is empty, you'll be fine. But it could be awkward if the other side is noisy and/or is a big group that uses up all the hot water.”

“High Voltage Farm apartment was a good choice for us. We enjoy a country setting. High Voltage Farm is pure, beautiful country. Holly is a super responsive host. Super! The space was perfect for us. It was clean, spacious, updated, with comfortable beds. My elderly mom had significant difficulty coming and going since the apartment is on the second floor. I knew that. Having stayed now, I may not recommend for someone with significant mobility challenges. Overall it was lovely and comfortable.”
