“This was an okay stay, fine to sleep but not a place to hang all day. It is a crowded, noisy area, but it didn't bother any of us much. There were definitely some things that needed a little closer attention to detail; a restaurant we went to on the rec list provided was closed, for example. Also the washer/dryer combo is neat in theory but not large enough to wash anything substantial; also an area that could have used some attention as it was not as clean as expected. (Inconvenient as this was must-need for us). I did not really hear from or interact with our host; she did provide check-in messages upon arrival/checkout and provided a book of info for our stay by the tv. The task list isn't tremendously excessive, more inconvenient - dishes must be washed and put away and towels must be laid out to dry (outdoor drying rack is in the yard but it rained during our stay so we had towels laid all over the chairs and table the night before to ensure they were dry). Overall an okay stay.”
“if you're looking for a peaceful getaway with everything you could ask for this is it. the cottage was very spacious with a quiet beach right within walking distance. helina was so helpful and very responsive. there were plenty of games and beach toys to keep our 2 year old very entertained as well as bringing out the child in us. I would happily stay there again. the hardest thing was having to leave”

Grill was fantastic to have. Covered back porch great to sit and drink your coffee. Family games were a perfect add to have available. Excellent communication with the host. Ample parking too which was great. We already booked next year. Highly recommend”
“My husband and I stayed with our toddler. We LOVED the neighborhood, everyone was so friendly and so kind to our son. We spent a lot of time walking while he rode his bicycle, and spent a considerable amount of time on the beach and at the nearby park.
The house is beautiful and would have been perfect if it were just my husband and I. As other reviews have mentioned, it’s not childproof. The doors do not shut/latch including closets so it’s not possible to keep small children out of areas. This also meant we were not able to move/hide items that were not child friendly. Something for families with littles to consider.
The beds were sooo comfortable and the linens/blankets were hotel quality which was a nice surprise that we had not typically experienced from an Airbnb before.”

When first arriving at the “cottage”, the front door key pad wouldn’t work.
Batteries were supposedly dead. Had to wait a full day for maintenance guy to show up.
Afterwards it still would lock us out on several occasion.
Our WiFi wouldn’t work.
There’s paint coming off on the walls.
We booked this stay as a family for kids and it’s not child proof.
She doesn’t even visit or attend to the residence she will just let her maintenance crew handle it.
Trying to charge me $1500 after staying there for 2 weeks saying we stained items and items are missing and there’s a smoking odor, mind you we didn’t smoke in her residence our whole time there.
She posts the bnb for cheap so the price seems low then will try to extort you for every penny possible.
She admitted over text to things not being there prior such as a bug net yet still trying to charge fees afterwards for the net missing.
The doors are not real doors with knobs they’re closet doors that won’t even shut”

“Overall we had a wonderful time! We booked last minute and the host got back to us almost instantly! There were just a couple things that I wish were a little better. But I highly recommend staying here. The house was decorated beautifully. The fenced in back yard made it easy for our toddler to play outside while we relaxed on the porch. It was a decent walk to the beach, but not bad. There’s a beautiful playground nearby and the public beach was perfect for kids (just make sure you bring water shoes!)
The only things to note would be that the doors to bedrooms and the bathroom don’t actually latch or have door knobs so there’s no way to keep little ones out of those areas when needed. And the kitchen was a little lacking. Like there weren’t any pans for the oven besides a cookie sheet so that kind of stunk when we went to cook dinner and realized we had to change plans lol
But again, beautiful house and would stay again! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!”
“This was my first time using Airbnb, and I started with a fantastic experience. Helina was great at communicating and addressing any of my concerns.
Her cottage is adorable, with matching coastal décor throughout. I found it very clean, with a very well stocked kitchen and beautiful appliances. I appreciated the first aid kit and other items provided in the bathroom. In case of emergency, I knew I would not have to find a pharmacy in an unfamiliar place. This may be standard policy, but I was delighted to learn how much Helina made available and the great use of space in every room. Very warm and inviting.
The walk to the beach is only 5 minutes, and with it being after Labor Day I had the shore to myself. And the patio offers a wonderful place to relax outdoors while being somewhat sheltered from the elements.
I am happy to recommend this getaway and hope to return sometime for a longer stay.”

“This was the PERFECT place for our girls weekend getaway!! Helina was a great host! She communicated great in a timely manner, and allowed us to check in early. We ran into an issue with the bathroom door and she had someone come within hours to fix it! The house was very clean and cozy. Beautiful fenced in backyard that included an outdoor shower to rinse off after a beach day. The back porch had a beautiful set up of a table and chairs that was covered with a gazebo that even had mesh sides you can zip up to avoid mosquitos. 8 minute walk from a gorgeous, QUIET, private residential beach. The water was warm and minimal waves - perfect for little ones. There is also a playground right next to the beach and in walking distance from the house. Overall, 10/10. We will be back!”
“Helina's cottage was very cozy and we will definitely come back. We were about a 5-7 min walk from the beach which my daughters thoroughly enjoyed. It was never over crowed which was awesome. The cottage also had beach chairs and a wagon that we could use to take items back and forth which was very nice. The kitchen was stocked with basics including plenty of coffee, dry creamer, a few seasonings, and the normal array of pots/pans, etc. Additional items could be found at one of two grocery stores within a 5min drive if needed. The best part about our experience was Helina's communication. We had a slight challenge and to say that she went above and beyond to ensure that we were taken care of is an understatement. She checked in with us and did everything within her power to ensure we had a great stay. Having stayed at other rentals over the years, I can definitely say that she is one of the nicer and more responsive hosts that I have encountered. Until next time.”

“My three sons and myself stayed here for about a week. Everything we wanted to see was is different spots so we thought this would be a great hub to relax in at the end of the day. Helena's place was cozy and peaceful. Everything was clean, beds really comfortable and more than any hotel could of given us. neighborhood was quite and we had no problem walking to the beach. I just wish we weren't gone so long and the weather was a little warmer so we could enjoy the beach even more. we will have to just book again in warmer times. I wouldn't hesitate to book this home again.”

“We enjoyed our stay at this clean, sweet cottage. All you need is right there. Comfortable -central heat and air. The area is great with Swift Beach down the street. Clean and scenic. So much to do in the area. We went to Onset which is a quaint little town with a beach. We went to Falmouth to bum around the shops and get a bite of lunch. Plymouth is an area to visit rich with history, the Mayflower is there. Also shops, restaurants and wineries. Also we saw a great musical at Priscilla Beach Barn Theater. We took the Ferry over to Martha's Vineyards with shops, restaurants, beaches, etc. If planning a trip out there, plan for extra time. There is a bus shuttle from the parking lot in Falmouth down to Woods Hole, then the ferry ride. You can bring your own car, or bike or rent a bike or moped to get around. There is a bus shuttle that goes between towns. But sometimes there is wait. Then coming back you do the same thing with ferry ride, and bus shuttle to parking lot.”

It’s a lovely blend of old cottage charm and modern conveniences with lots of thoughtful touches. There are beach towels and chairs for guests to use on the picturesque local Swifts Beach. The deck and backyard are great outdoor areas to hang out and eat, with a top quality gas grill. The area is incredibly quiet and peaceful, which makes for a great nights sleep in the super comfy beds. We hope to come back and stay again.”
