Jackie made sure to keep us posted and up to date with information about plowing and road conditions. The gated community it's in makes it very peaceful and serene any time of day. The deer are EVERYWHERE around. We took a little drive and loved spotting them roaming and munching on sticks! There's so many ski resorts and delicious dining places around that you'll surely have plenty to see and do! We'd love to stay here and enjoy this special little abode once again sometime! Maybe during the summer or fall! I'm sure it'd be to die for!”

“We really enjoyed our stay there! We did a Thanksgiving dinner at the chalet just to break up and change our yearly routine and it was worth it. The house was well stocked with basic supplies, utensils and other kitchen items and the house was cozy! Having a fireplace was a bonus as we were able to light a fire and enjoy dinner and drinks with a fire going in the background. What a treat! The house was also close enough for a convenient ride to Jim Thorpe so we did that during our stay there. Jackie was also very gracious in allowing us to bring our little corgi dog which is a bonus as some places don’t often allow it. Our pet is a great traveler and she felt comfortable there as well. Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re needing a quick getaway or just looking to spend some time near the Poconos. We weren’t able to enjoy any of the amenities the development has to offer since it was November but I imagine that would have been fun if we could have. Maybe next time!”

“We stayed there for our 20th Anniversary. It was a beautiful Chalet in a wooded area with 3 small lakes. There were plenty of deer in the community, and several came to the door of the cabin. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of kitchen appliances and pots/pans. We brought food for our stay, and really enjoyed the fall there. Jackie was very communicative about check in, attractions including restaurants etc. They had a couple TVs and we loaded our Netflix account without problem. We really enjoyed our short time there and highly recommend it.”

There is a ton to do within 25-45 minutes of the chalet which was nice to get out. It was a bit too chilly to take advantage of the pool and lake, but we did visit both and they were well taken care of and maintained. We would definitely come back again to stay another time.”

“This is a smallish, cozy home in a quiet section of community. House is well-stocked. Our biggest issues had to do with the host/her communications. There are cameras set up on the outside. On one of our first days, a neighbor friend of ours drove into the driveway just to show us her new puppy. (dog never entered home). We immediately received a phone call from host asking about this animal. This certainly struck us as an invasion of privacy. The next 2 weeks were uneventful, but as it was getting closer to checkout, the host began texting us insisting that she or her family-member enter the house while we were there to "walk us through checkout".! Have never heard of this policy before, and again would have been invasion of privacy. After my wife and I had cleaned thoroughly and left the home, she was still asking why we did not "walk through" home with her. Furthermore, she had accused us of not putting trash curbside on the last day when we surely did ! Don't recommend.”
“Our stay was really peaceful. Plenty of beautiful scenery, various amenities, and the weather was really nice. The deer are extremely friendly, don't be surprised if you see some during the day walking around outside of the house. They were very curious when we had fires, one night there were 10 deer standing there investigating!! Overall, it's pretty, scenic, quiet, and relaxing. Definitely worth the price!!”

Great price & comfortable home. Peaceful area to get away to. Swim, ride bikes, take a walk or just relax. Jim Thorpe area a must if you've never been, so many cool little shops, eateries w/ friendly staff.
Peaceful community w/ pools, beaches, lakes, wildlife. The deer are curious, love apples, come surprisingly close. Even got to see a bear! Neighbors, yes but not too close if you're looking for privacy.
Surrounded by nature, don't forget the insect spray.
Overall great price, great host, many amenities. This & surrounding areas are perfect for outdoor enthusiasts.

“We had such an amazing time here ! It was large enough to accommodate four adults two toddlers and an infant. There is a lake with in walking distance and the pool is about a 10 minute drive away, there is also a small walking path near by as well. The rooms have enough dressers for you to store your belongings and Jackie was always a text away incase you have any questions or problems. The deck is spacious enough for you to have dinners outside and the grill was clean and easy to use. There is more than enough fire wood lying around outside for you to set up the fire pit. There were plenty of chairs to use outside and a table. Checking in and out was very easy and straight forward. There was endless deer everywhere we went and they are very friendly and calm. There was also a binder full of helpful information. She had a fantastic movie selection for us to choose from on the single night we wished to watch something (we are not big on tv).”

“This trip was a quick Mother's day get away with my family, we had a great time. My kids fed the deer's, we grilled, we made smores, we enjoyed the Chalet and all it's amenities.
Jackie was very responsive and attentive to all of my needs.
My husband and older son went fishing near by, in the summer this place would be even more enjoyable with all the surrounding activities.

“It was a cozy place, little cluttered, but accommodating for many people and things to do inside. The water pressure was very minimal and the oven doesn’t fully work. It baked our food from bottom only, the top of oven heating element was broken. The host was very communicative, I wasn’t fond of the cleaning fee only to get check out instructions that include taking out all trash and take trash can to driveway curb for trash pick up and to strip beds used and put on the washer: the cleaning fee was way to high for a little bit of sanitizing needing done when we left (common practice)
Need a retreat I completely recommend this place.”

I must give my praise to Jackie for being so responsive and accommodating last min; she is so communicative and friendly! Even though it was all electronic communication, I can tell what a great soul she is, very willing to help. Even extended an early check in and late check out. I went with my partner and twins, and the kids had a blast exploring the whole house haha. It’s great for a change of scenery! Feels very safe in a private community with security check in front. Definitely not kidding when she mentioned the deers, we were welcomed by 2 deer at night and 6 in the morning, great to see in nature as we are mostly city people haha. The house was a bit cold when we walked in, but with the electric baseboards and extra units to plug in, it got warm quickly. Overall definitely a comfy stay as advertised, kitchen is stocked to cook if need be, and you feel like you’re at a family member’s home.”

The house is pretty remote in the gated community. It takes 10 minutes to get from the house to the gate, and most local attractions are at least 30 minutes away, so plan your trips accordingly. Jackie was also helpful in getting some property returned that we left accidentally.”

“We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed our time here, there is a lot of wildlife in the general area so we got to see a lot of deer and met the infamous turkey mafia. The host was very responsive at all hours of the day and night. She checked on us frequently to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Even sent someone over to plow and shovel during the snowstorm we got. We did not run into any issues at all, everything was clean and the entire home felt fresh. It smelled great and definitely gives you a homey feeling. We instantly felt at home here. Will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing stay. We will be returning in the future!”
