The neighbors were close but very polite, and there was no noise at night. The buildings don't look spectacular from the outside, but her condo was immaculate inside.
Note about the area: Much of HH island is behind a gate, meaning you can't get in unless you are staying there (behind that gate) or visiting someone inside. If you have your heart set on visiting a specific spot, check ahead of time to make sure you'll have access—otherwise, this might not be the right location for you.”

Kitchen is fully stocked with filtered water. Yelena is super friendly and responsive. We traveled with our two small pups who aren’t used to stairs but did well navigating. Plenty of sniff areas right outside the door with all the palmetto pines and walkable sidewalks in the neighborhood (including nearby shopping center). Experienced a thunderstorm but didn’t lose power. Highly recommend and would book again.”

From the pet friendly decor to the amenities included Yelena really put great thought into the space. Yelena was very responsive to our messages which we really appreciated and made some great local recommendations. We were in the area for a much needed relaxing trip and this was the perfect place for it. Everything you could possibly need or want was right there. We will definitely be staying at Yelena's place next time we are in the Hilton Head area.”

The neighborhood is hard to find as a non-local as Apple Maps pulled the locations for the same address, and “The Oaks” neighborhood also doesn’t pull up on GPS. it’s also not necessarily an area that screams beach vacation and is off a main road that gets congested by traffic. One other thing to note is that upon arrival the community manager greeted us at the car saying our dogs needed to be registered in the office to stay, with rabies vaccine records- which we hadn’t known or prepared for. So be prepared to have these items upon arrival if you book.
Overall assessment, it’s clean and well organized for the pup parent and we would certainly stay again”

“We had a lovely stay here! Only reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 are that the listing showed it had a dishwasher when we booked, but it did not. Also, the sport courts seemed to be new so they had not installed card access yet, so we were not able to use them, but would’ve loved to. Very kind host, would stay here again!”

“I wouldn’t stay here again, we went to get in a bed and pulled the comforter back to a bunch of dirt and hair in the sheets. There was an obvious dog smell inside. Also it is right by an airport so the planes going off shake the condo all night. The neighborhood isn’t great - as we went to leave two drunk men were blocking the exit of the condo with beer in their vehicles. I wouldn’t book if you’re looking for a clean family friendly airbnb.”

“Our two golden retrievers felt right at home immediately! In new places they sometimes bark or feel uneasy, but not at Yelena’s! They must sense that she loves pets :)
There is a large, lighted community space to walk the dogs right outside the door, so it’s very convenient.
This is in a quiet area and we slept great.
Beds and living room furniture are clean and comfortable. The place has obviously been nicely updated.
Although there are an Espresso machine and coffee pot available, we found it super easy to order Starbucks coffee on the app and the coffee was ready when we drove around the corner to pick it up.
Yelena was able to be flexible with our check in time and she is very responsive

After we arrived and experienced some difficulty entering the unit, the owner sent a great text with directions to the unit, smart lock info, and nearby sites to see. NOTE: The Air bnb site had the wrong unit # listed and we went to that unit and couldn't get the lock to work. The unit was beautifully renovated and the location worked well for us. Side Comment: The walkability of this complex wasn't very good; especially in the evening. (Too dark on the walk from the parking lot to the unit.) This condo complex is a bit of a "faded beauty" due to the appearance of the grounds and building exteriors.”
“Yelena was great to work with and made the whole process easy. The condo itself was OK and the complex was also just OK. There were no instructions on how to use coffee maker and the coffee grinder didn't have a blade so was of no use - luckily Dunkin and Starbucks are a short walk away. There were not the usual ammenities you expect with an AirBNB....no water, snacks, limited bathroom and personal supplies. Washer and dryer are always a plus. Not Yelen's fault but there was work being done on the unit next door and banging until after 10pm. Workers were hanging outside having a few beers late at night as well....little unsettling.”
