The only concern was the check-in experience. There were no instructions provided until the next morning and the door was left open upon arrival. With clearer communication and a more secure check-in process, this could be a much better stay overall.”

“The stay was great! There was one small down side…the mini split ac/heat unit sounds like the compressor is going bad. John came over immediately to look at it, thankfully it worked but was just a little noisy. I know it’s hard to get someone out quickly on the first cold snap, so I ignored it. Other than that the location was perfect, the neighborhood was quiet, and there were places to eat close by. Hoping to return next year.”

“We had a lovely stay. The place eas very nice with plenty of space for myself and my two teens. The area is close to plenty of things to do and places to eat. We enjoyed going on a fossil hunt in the area and Folly beach was only about an hour away with traffic. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of towels and such. The host were very quick to respond and seemed very friendly through the messages. Check in and check out were very easy. Great stay would definitely recommend and stay again.”

“Definitely for a short stay. Fridge was small and didn’t keep things very cold. The room was either very hot or cold. The recliner was broken my son scratched his leg on the exposed metal.
It did the job the beds were comfy.
But if I have any real complaint, there was a dog that barked at you everytime you walked out of the place from a window. When checking out which took about 45 minutes to load the car the dog barked at us the entire time. It was even let out at one point and tried to come under the fence in the small area we walk out and my youngest son who’s a baby did not react well at all. I finally yelled can you get the dog and it was taken in. Also the amount of mud and grass that is tracked in from having to walk in the grass to get to your parking area is wild. I believe the concept was there for having an Airbnb but maybe specify it’s not for small children or more than a night stay.”

“The guesthouse was very cute and clean, matched the photos, and allowed our little dog, who barks while we are gone, which was a huge plus and main concern for us. The house is in a pretty big neighborhood, so it feels like your at home, and was very quiet at night, at least during our short stay. It's in a great location, with restaurants, shopping centers, and parks nearby. The owners live in the main house, so if there are any questions or concerns, they are just a message away and respond quickly. If I get the chance to visit Charleston and surrounding areas again, I would love to check if this guesthouse is available before looking anywhere else. “Overall it was pretty good, especially the cleanliness. Three issues were that there is a big hole in the grass when you’re supposed to park, that is a “layup” of a fix. The mattress was what I would call ridiculously bad, and buying a new mattress is highly suggested so guests can get a proper night’s sleep. The last problem was the biggest “head-scratcher”: the mini split heater system makes noise NON-STOP. The noise is quite a racket and it rises and falls and plateaus off, but as far as I know it makes noise because it is malfunctioning. After the first night, we decided to just sleep on the floor of our relatives’ house for the second night…”
“We stayed 2 nights. had a glitch with the tv but they were quick to respond and fix the issue. couldn't figure out how to get the mini split to work right but but since the weather was agreeable while we were there we didn't bother the hosts for that, we just turned on the ceiling fan to keep it cool. We are not used to large subdivisions because we live on a small farm with 5 acres where we can't see our neighbors, but once inside it was pretty quiet. We were mainly only there in the evening so we didn't use the added amenities except some coffee with which they were well stocked. There are a few parks around to walk the pups so that was convenient.All in all a nice stay and Good hosts.”
