Something to know about this reservation: you are sharing a home with the hosts. The Airbnb is in their converted garage. This may be obvious to others but I did not realize it until later. When you are in the Airbnb kitchen, and the hosts are in (what I assume is) their kitchen, you can hear nearly every word. Sound was not an issue in the bedroom area at night whatsoever, but because we arrived later, I wish I would have taken more care to be quieter. Not that I was particularly loud, but because there was only our car in the garage and it was dark, I didn’t realize the home was actively occupied by the hosts. I realized it the next morning, so it wasn’t a problem. Overall a fantastic stay and would return in a heartbeat!”

“This is my second stay and it was better than the first time! They are fantastic host! It’s a cozy spot and very clean! They respond very quickly and are extremely friendly. They have a great dog named Jack who’s very sweet. All in all in the perfect location from Fort Davis to Marfa to Big Bend. Worth every penny! Will be back!”
“We were in town to attend the gem and mineral show and do some rockhounding on nearby ranches. This location is near to the center of town and the main road but far enough away to be private and quiet. The view of the mountains from the end of the street was a great added benefit. I got some great sunset photos. We appreciated the carport near the door which made access easy. The bed was super comfortable. The mini-split system controls were easy to use and it cooled and heated the room well. The ceiling fan was a nice addition. There was plenty of dresser space and closet shelves for two people. The bathrobes were a nice added touch and useful given the distance from the bathroom shower. There were all the utensils, plates and cups we needed. Being able to make coffee in the morning was nice. All utilities worked well once we figured out how to use them. Having a guest account for Netflix, Prime, etc was a nice bonus as we were able to watch some favorite shows.”

“One of my best AirBnB experiences of many. The bed was fantastic, and the space is larger than it appears in the pictures. It was lovely on the inside and so very private that you didn't realize it's attached to a home. Not cluttered with decorations but still very stylish and personal. Check-in was very easy. I traveled with my mom and teen kid. The space was just right for exploring Alpine and Marfa, and it had everything we could need or want.”

We arrived a little before check in time so the code wasn’t active yet, but he immediately unlocked it remotely for us. Only used the mini-fridge in the kitchenette, but it was SO nice to have the washer and dryer to do laundry before we left. Love being able to unpack luggage full of clean clothes when we get back home!”

“Such a cute space with everything we needed. Lots of pretty light during the day. Vaughn and Mary were incredibly kind and even invited us to watch the sunset with them the first night. I loved the peaceful setting with animals nearby and a beautiful view of the mountains. The apartment was clean. Unfortunately, I did get a sore back due to the bed. It was very firm with some sort of topper. Sleeping on my side helped a little. If you're a side sleeper it won't be a problem but if you're a back sleeper and sensitive to mattresses, just keep that in mind. Otherwise, a lovely stay with really sweet hosts and incredibly affordable!”

Marfa is 25mins, Prada store 1hr and Fort Davis loop is worth the 2hr drive(from start to finish). I highly recommend doing the loop. Anyways, this Airbnb offers comfort, relaxing, clean, chickens and views! This was worth every penny!”

I adored the bedding with more natural fibers and that they use a laundry detergent that doesn't leave a perfume smell. As a solo woman traveler I felt safe and right at home, which made my stay great from the start. I had good wifi for my Zoom sessions with clients. Oh, and the AC was awesome during Alpine's near 100 degree days! I'm looking forward to my next return and booking again with Vaughn and Mary!”

The bed was comfortable, the ac cooler worked well, the shower head was really nice! There was a dresser, shelves, a closet, a small bar table & futon. They even allowed use of their tv apps for viewing! There was a ton of natural light if you wanted, but blackout curtains if you didn’t.
We were able to use the refrigerator/freezer, as well as the washer/dryer while there & everything worked well.
Our hosts were welcoming in their messages & we even ran into Vaughn one day. He chatted with my husband for a bit and recommended some places to check out.
After we left, they messaged to let us know we forgot a power cord, and offered to mail it, & alternately let us know how to purchase a new one on Amazon.
They were very friendly, helpful and thought of just about everything when setting up their place!”
