Inside, you’ll find comfortable sleeping for up to 6 guests with 1 king and 2 queen beds, perfect for couples or small groups. The bathroom features a jetted soaking tub with a rain shower, ideal for unwinding after a day of hiking or exploring. The open living space invites you to settle in, with a large sectional, cozy reading chair, electric fireplace, and smart TV, plus fast Wi-Fi if you need to stay connected. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook meals at home, and a washer/dryer makes longer stays easy and convenient. Step outside to one of the home’s best features - a spacious wraparound deck surrounded by trees, with plenty of seating and a charcoal grill for laid-back meals outdoors. As the sun sets, gather around the fire pit, roast marshmallows, and take in the peaceful, starlit sky. Whether you're here for adventure or a quiet reset, Shenandoah Vista is your perfect mountain escape. We’re pet-friendly (dogs only, 2 max), with a one-time $60 flat fee - no nightly charges! Traveling with a larger group? Shenandoah Vista is near “Grand View,” another one of our 6-guest properties. While separated by a wooded area, the homes are walkable yet private - ideal for multiple families or friends traveling together. Guest access Guests have access to entire home. Parking is available on the dirt/gravel driveway adjacent to the home - please do not park in the grass areas on either side of the driveway. Other things to note Location & Travel Times: The charming town of Luray and the famous Luray Caverns are 20 mins away. Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park (off Hwy 211) is a scenic 25–30 minute drive from the cabin. Shenandoah River Outfitters is less than a 5 minute drive away. Road Conditions: The uphill road leading to Shenandoah Vista is gravel and not state or county maintained. 4WD or AWD is recommended in inclement weather (heavy snow / rain). The road can be a bit bumpy, so feel free to drive on whichever side is smoother. Groceries & Essentials: We recommend picking up groceries before arrival, as the nearest stores are about 12 miles away. A charcoal grill is available (please bring your own charcoal). Campfire wood available for purchase / $10 per bundle. Bath/Shower Info: The tub/shower combo has a grab bar, but the tub is taller than standard height, so it may not be ideal for those with limited mobility. Electric Vehicles: No EV charging is available on-site, and use of indoor or outdoor electrical outlets is not permitted. If you need to charge your vehicle, convenient charging stations can be found in the nearby town of Luray. Have questions? Don’t hesitate to reach out before your stay.

“What can I say! We decided to go out of town for a little “girls trip” and tube the shenandoah river (the outfitters is literally a 4 minute drive from shenandoah vista cabin! it was SO fun!) I am so grateful I booked this cabin. It was so clean, was a great place to hang out with my friends and family, and you could see Luray’s fireworks when on the patio! The shower is also nice with a good pressured rain showerhead.
Washing units on site also made packing up to go a breeze, as well as unpacking.
Also they had very reasonable check out cleaning expectations.

“David & Becky were wonderful hosts! They were quick in all their communications and willing to go above and beyond (we needed a small screwdriver for a toy my daughter brought, and they offered to bring us one from their home!)
The home was very pet-friendly, even including clean sheets to place over the couch if you wanted to cuddle with your dogs while watching a show!
Directions were clear and everything matched the listing description. Our daughter (8 y/o) loved the jetted tub and we all appreciated the abundance of clean towels and wash cloths (as someone with long hair, I always end up using more than the allotted one towel at a hotel).
Definitely follow their guidance on the route - trying to enter the property from the first turn off would be difficult due to terrain; our 4WD truck could do it, but I wouldn't in a car.

We did a rafting trip with Shenandoah River Outfitters which is just a few minutes down the road and spent a day at Luray Caverns and in the town of Luray. The place was immaculately clean, the kitchen had all the gadgets we needed for our relatively simple meals, and we were very comfortable relaxing around the house. It's conveniently located for outings in the Luray area, and the view out the back is a real stunner. I would love to come back in the fall when the leaves are changing. Our four year old loved exploring the deck and the yard area and our one-year-old was very impressed with all the ceiling fans =) .

“The Shenandoah Vista was a wonderful house for me and my family. There were three very comfortable bedrooms and even provisions for my pup. The kitchen was ample with modern appliances and plenty of dishes and pots and pans for cooking. The spacious living room with a large super comfy sofa was a wonderful respite after a day filled with activities. But the best part was the view from from the master bedroom walk out porch. . . beautiful view of the mountains. If you plan to do any river activities the location is perfect. Its a bit far from town (about 20 minutes or so to Luray), but David and Becky make that clear before you check in. David and Becky communicated with us the whole time and the whole stay from booking to check out was super easy. If you like privacy, beauty , but all of the comforts of home you will love this house.”

We found the cabin in a good location to drive to and from the park. It was the perfect place to come back after so many hours of hiking to come relax. “We could’ve sat on the deck and looked at that view for our entire vacation. This cabin was exactly as advertised and was very clean. It was about 15 minutes from Luray and 25 minutes from the entrance to Shenandoah National Park — the perfect location to refuel or get cleaned up and go back out. We were impressed by how well-stocked it was and how the sellers were very communicative, especially when it came to hiking recommendations. It was spacious yet cozy and exactly what we were looking for on this trip. Our one-year old especially loved it!”

At first I was a little nervous about the ac units opposed to central air, but after contacting the host prior to booking I was assured we would be comfortable. In high 80s low 90s temps we were more then comfortable! My sons and I fished the pond down the road with great success. Would definitely stay again.”
