The porch was a definite plus for drinking our morning tea and listening to nature. Our pup also had a nice time out in nature. Overall an awesome place and we will definitely return for another peaceful getaway.”
“We had a wonderful birthday weekend stay for my husband! The cabin was perfect for our family, and we loved being able to walk over to Shenandoah River Outfitters to tube for the day. We also visited Luray Caverns the following day using the combo deal through Shenandoah River Outfitters, which made it so easy to enjoy both.
The cabin was especially beautiful in the mornings. The lifting fog and sounds of the forest brought me right back to growing up in a mountain town in California. It was such a peaceful way to start the day.
The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. We didn't get a chance to use the fire pit, but there was firewood available for purchase, plenty of seating around the pit, and patio lights that made the space feel really inviting.
We would absolutely stay here again and would love to check out another one of their cabins next time!”
“Me and my best friend had the best weekend at David and Becky’s place! Check in was easy-peasy, everything was clean and cozy, and they had all the amenities that saved our forgetful butts! Shenandoah outfitters was a short walk away, we visited Luray caverns, drove a little farther down the road to get river access, and came back to a cozy fire and cooked yummy food on the grill! The hosts were so kind and responsive which was very comforting and helpful! This spot is great for besties, lovers, and families!”

Location, location, location: even though it was quiet we were a quick drive to restaurants, the caverns and the park. The space had everything we needed. This was our first stop on our road trip from Virginia Beach down to Fort Worth, Texas, and what a perfect, relaxing, and effortless start it was 🌄
The location is spot on. Far enough away from town to really give that up in the mountains feel, but still close enough to explore Luray, the surrounding towns, and Shenandoah National Park without any hassle 🌲
Communication from the hosts was excellent throughout. Everything was clearly explained ahead of arrival, with thoughtful tips and local recommendations, while still giving us plenty of space to explore and enjoy the cabin at our own pace. Check-in was smooth and stress-free 👍
The cabin itself was cozy and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax and unwind. The fire pit, BBQ, and picnic bench area made for an amazing evening — great food, a beautiful sunset, and total peace and quiet 🔥🌅

Beautiful porch for reading and relaxing, and fire pit for roasting hotdogs and marshmallows. We were greeted by cardinals and butterflies all weekend. Absolutely perfect getaway!”
“Absolutely loved the cabin! It was super close to Luray Caverns (20 min) and the National Park (30 min). It was on a private, no outlet road, so very little cars going by as well.
The cabin was really cute, and the scenery looking out the windows was beautiful! There was no phone service at the cabin, but the wifi was great!
The only reason I did not give this place 5 stays is because there’s no ventilation in the bathroom and you can’t get to the window to open it. It gets very steamed up very fast, and we would have to keep the bathroom door open when not in use.”

“I certainly don’t have the words to describe how perfect David & Becky’s cabin is. The cabin has everything you could need, detailed instructions, quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The hosts were very responsive, gave us recommendations, helped us find directions to places and we were lucky enough to be able to check in early. Our dog was very comfortable and loved the porch. It was a wonderful way to end our year and we’re extremely grateful we were able to spend it there. We are already planning when to go back. In the words of our 3 year old: “bye mountains, see you later!”.

Pets were allowed which was great and they had pet bowls if you needed and also they had a box with clean sheets in it so you could drape them on the couch if your dog was a couch sitter ….. very thoughtful and took the stress off of us . And I’d brought my own blanket to cover couch for pup but they had that covered too already. Felt bad I was too in a rush this morning to fill out their guest log. There were even instructions on how to turn on the shower. And I got a message checking on my stay and check in and all. Only thing that I can think of that could make my stay better is if the river wasn’t blocking the path to the parkway talk about going around your @$$ to get to your elbow. But it was all worth it. And wouldn’t mind staying again on my next mountain trip”

We had a little hiccup with the shower the first night, but it was fixed up the the next morning. I really appreciated that each bedroom was able to control their own AC, and you can turn off all the living room lights from the loft. We would definitely definitely stay again!”

“The Moonlight Memories stay was the first time I had ever used AirBNB. I booked a weekend getaway with my boyfriend for his birthday, something we both tremendously needed after a grueling year of hard & heavy things we’ve had to face together, and individually.
David & Becky’s home was cozy, welcoming, private and perfect for the 2 of us. The kitchen was stocked, bath towels were provided, firewood was made available to us prior to check in, and the views along the way in came free.
We couldn’t have had a better time sight seeing and visiting the caverns (which was only 20 minutes drive away), as well as staying in, watching football, cooking dinner & spending quality time together.
This stay is perfect you’re looking for a quiet, intimate, peaceful stay for a couple, or something to accommodate the family since there’s 2 bedrooms, THIS is the place to stay.

We had such a wonderful time at David and Becky’s beautiful cabin! It’s in a great location, about 45 min from Shenandoah National Park, and allows you to experience the quiet beauty and serenity of Virginia’s nature. The ambiance of the cabin itself was so comfy and made you feel very much at home, with a smart TV and indoor electric fireplace in the living room and all of the appliances you may need for basic meals in the kitchen. Our favorite part was the firepit in the backyard :) David and Becky were kind enough to provide fire bundles and kindling, and even stopped by on our first night to show us how it’s done. They were so friendly and hospitable and gave us very helpful recommendations for which trails to try at the park. They were super flexible at check-out as well and allowed us to extend it a bit. We are so grateful for everything! Highly recommend and would love to come back.”

“Moonlight Memories Cabin is so peaceful! My husband, myself, & my dog Coco stayed there for several days to get away & relax.
David & Becky are sweet & attentive. The night before we left, we ran out of toilet paper about 9:30 PM. The nearest grocery store is a 20 minute drive. My husband and I tried to decide what to do. David & Becky said they lived really close in case we needed anything. So we asked them & they arrived within minutes!
It’s super cozy, private, and clean. My dog & I loved the porch. I brought my Mandolin, sat in the rocking chairs to play some music in the perfect setting!
And Coco is 12-going-on-2. lol! One side of the porch having a single step was great for her old legs.
She also loved the little path in front of the porch.
There’s no fenced area for dogs. Parts of the yard & the driveway are quite steep. Our dog is really chill. But if your dog is older, disabled, or a runner when a door is open, keep that in mind.
Definitely recommend for a getaway!”
“Very cute little cabin in the woods. It is a small space but was perfect for me and my son. It was a bit away from the town of Luray, which made it quiet, but still close enough to go do things without a long drive. My son loved roasting marshmallows over the fire pit (just in time before it rained!) and the outdoor picnic table was so useful. We easily drove up the mountain to hike and into town for an afternoon of exploring. I definitely recommend.”
