We found out later in the evening the other guest ROACHES were using the window to enter at night. I killed half a dozen thumb size roaches....My wife did not want to use the bathroom.
We were cooking breakfast for the guests in the paired building and the burners stopped working. I texted and the reply was that it was a convection stove and was I using proper cookware. I stated that I used what they provided. She texted me to try other cookware. NO HELP HERE! I opted to ask anther guest area for help. They were more help that the hosts.
Place has a great location and is photogenic so nice for an event, but that is where it ends. Look elsewhere for better options.”

“Definitely had an amazing time staying here! This was my first time ever booking an air bnb and when I tell you..... they didn't disappoint! If you're thinking about booking don't even think about it just book!”
“The property was generally as described, and communication from the host was responsive. However, during our stay we experienced an electrical issue that caused most of the lights in the apartment to stop working for a full evening and overnight. Since we were only staying for a few days, this significantly impacted our experience, particularly when using the bedrooms and bathroom after dark.
Maintenance was unable to come until the following morning, at which point the issue was resolved and a replacement dryer was provided. The host did accommodate a late checkout after we requested it, which we appreciated.
Overall, the stay was okay, but the electrical issue and delayed repair affected our enjoyment of the property during a short vacation.”

“The place is small and a little worn around the edges, but the owners have done a great job of making it comfortable with comfy beds and furniture. Most of all it was great to be able to walk to so many restaurants and coffee shops. Great stay!”
“This place is smaller than initially anticipated but the location is pretty good. Pretty disappointed that I needed to work Thursday and Friday and then we checked out on Saturday and when we arrived we were told that there was no wifi even though their description says fast wifi. They told me the service company was fixing it on Saturday but when we were checking out I overheard the service guy and who I assume is property manager say that they have been trying to get them to come out for weeks, so it sounds like they knew they weren’t going to have wifi prior to the date of our stay.
This made it very inconvenient to work as I had sales calls on zoom that I can’t do in coffee shops. I would have chosen another house if I knew they didn’t have wifi accessible.
Lastly the beds were pretty smooshy and as I was laying in bed I noticed the mold protruding through the paint that they used to cover it that surrounds the ceiling lights in the bedroom.”

Enjoyed location and unit was clean, however many major concerns:
- was told by host prior to arrival that there were 2 king beds and 1 pull out couch to accommodate 5 girls, however on arrival found 2 queen beds and no pull out. Host did give extra towels/sheets for guest after being asked.
- wifi did not work for entire trip, so had to use manual key instead of lock pad and hotspot for tv- no accommodations/refunds given despite missing this listed amenity
-lack of clarity with wifi repair timeline, we had to follow up with host to ask if maintenance was coming (was told this couldn’t be fixed for our week stay)
- live cockroach found in kitchen, was unable to reach host for over 8 hrs and was then dismissed as “palmetto bug” (it was an American cockroach)
-towels smelled of smoke/ wood rot”

“We had a lovely stay! The hosts were absolutely wonderful, super welcoming and even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy upon arrival! The space itself is well-decorated, cozy, and clean. The neighborhood was quiet with a park just across the way that made for a perfect morning walk/run. The space was a bit on the smaller side, which was fine for a short stay but might feel a little tight for a longer visit or if you're traveling with lots of luggage. Would totally stay here again.”

“Super responsive hosts, pack and play was provided at our request. Just a heads up for anyone traveling with little ones, you’ll just have to bring your own sheets for this. We usually do but had accidentally forgotten ours, thankfully target was a quick 15 min drive away. Very cute and cozy little home! Highly recommend checking out uptown cafe nearby for breakfast and coffee!”

“Wonderful, cozy 2nd floor cottage downtown, just off Round Lake Park. Close by restaurants, coffee shops and about a 20 min walk to the Pier. Quiet area close by downtown but without bad traffic. We loved the Dali artwork throughout! It was a bit cold outside during our stay, so we didn't use the table and chairs on the second floor patio, but it looked like a super spot during more typical south Florida weather. Would love to stay again.”

“We loved our stay in St. Pete. The unit has a great balcony that has plenty of space for 3 or 4 people and is a stone's throw away from a beautiful little park. The neighborhood is quiet with plenty of parking and walking distance from the downtown St. Pete attractions. They committed fully to the Dali decor which was fun. There are lots of attractions in the area but Fort DeSoto Park is one of our favorites.”

“Overall, we had a good stay. However, there were a few minor issues that together caused a 4 star rating instead of 5. The wifi signal was pretty spotty during our 3 days there. The light in the living space was out when we arrived on Monday night and it was not fixed prior to check out even though we alerted the team. We sent a message Tuesday morning, were told we’d hear back after they contacted the maintenance team but still hadn’t heard anything when we checked out so we basically couldn’t use the living room any of the nights we were there. Also, there was also some dust in the corners of the bedrooms and the bath towels were somewhat small. Would still recommend this listing as it a nice space, convenient location, and a great price but there are some minor improvements that could make this a 5-star spot.”

“The apartment was very clean and had everything one could wish for. We were greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine which was a nice way to start off our trip. The 2 bedrooms were very clean and the master bed (the only one we used) was incredibly comfy, as were the pillows. We slept great! The bathroom is small, but I didn't need much room. The neighborhood isn't beautiful, but we weren't looking for a seaside resort with views. The location is within easy walking distance of Jannus Live, Vinoy Park and there is a vegan-friendly pizza / brunch location across the park, as well as a local brewpub. The location was a little hard to find, based on MapQuest, but I appreciated the privacy. The location was very quiet, with no traffic or outside noise to wake us up too early. Aside from the minor difficulty locating the place, the only other thing we noted was the prevalence of homeless people. We weren't troubled by anyone, walking late at night tho. Just be safe!”

“A wonderful little home that felt warm and inviting! It was right by a peaceful little park. Great communication and a quick Uber to downtown. There is a yummy coffee shop right around the corner.”
“This is a solid choice for staying in St. Pete. Nice location, you do have to park on the street but we never had issue finding a spot. The little park it’s right next to is great and there’s a beer spot and a coffee spot across the way (one block).
Decor was cute and matched the description. The beds are comfy - it is a small space so be aware that maneuvering around the sides of each bed is pretty tight. The bathroom is pretty good (nice water pressure) but the bathroom sink is super tiny. The towels are very basic/thin type towels. The living area is very comfortable for 2. Kitchen was pretty well stocked.
On the whole, the unit does need a bit of TLC - the walls have various scrap marks/stains and need to be wiped down, tops of baseboards are not the cleanliest. A couple of the throw pillows have some staining and some furniture is a bit dingy. The unit didn’t feel dirty overall but it didn’t feel fresh due to these things.”

“Very cute little place! we went as two couples and it was small but very nicely done for the space. The location was cute. Near a brewery and Hollander Hotel but about a 20-25 min walk to downtown; however, ubers were easy to get. Only issues we had were toilet didn't always work properly. But we were able to "self " fix the issue it was a bit annoying. Other than that, had a nice stay.”
“This was the second time we stayed with Hey Vaycay! They are always responsive and helpful. Our favorite thing about this unit was the Veo scooters across the street. This made traveling around St Pete so easy and fun! We will be back! A 10/10”

“Great location in St Pete. Lots of places that are easily walked too, and only a 5 min drive/ride to downtown. Parking is on-street only, which is a bit of a pain, but that’s par for the course in this neighborhood of St Pete. So, not a strike against this listing, just a point in general about the area. This is an older apartment, as are most of the homes on this area. So, electrical outlets are a bit sparse. If you travel with electronics, like a laptop, you may want to bring a small power strip/surge protector. Also, this being Florida and the frequent summer thunderstorms, having surge protection for your electronics is never a bad idea.
All in all, we had a great stay. Apartment is super cozy. Beds are comfortable, and AC works phenomenally well. Definitely check this listing out if you’re staying in St Pete and want to be close to all the city offers.”

“Such a charming place to stay..neighborhood felt safe and neighbors were friendly..plus a couple of friendly cats in the area..don't be intimidated by the street parking-you will find a spot close by no problem-and you can move the car and when you come back-there will still be spots available..Great town and people and food and coffee and shopping!”
“Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Parking in the driveway was a bit of a challenge because the alley had very deep potholes so it's best approached at an angle. The front door was rotted out and the door would not secure properly. The host did assure me that it would be replaced as we were checking out that very day. The circuit breaker was tripped for the tankless hot water heater and we had cold showers and washed dishes with cold water for the first 2 days, but after a reset outside, it performed optimally. We were compensated and took it in stride as the building is full of old charm and we appreciated the response time. We adored the interior and the ceramic tile as well as the art of Dali. The surrounding neighborhood is what I miss most about old Florida. Foxtail Coffee Shop across from the pond, was wonderful. Great location. Thank you for hosting us.”
