“Great location and great place for a group of 35 people. Kitchen space and living space was amazing. Had everything you needed. Only drawback was the windows need a little TLC and not every room has a place to hang or store your clothes. Would also like to see more outside seating on the deck.”
“We stayed here for our wedding weekend, and overall the home was comfortable and accommodated our group well. Everyone enjoyed the stay, and the property served its purpose for our event. There were a few minor maintenance issues, but nothing that significantly impacted our stay. The biggest challenge was communication leading up to the wedding. We received inconsistent information about the event fee and what it included. Initially, we were told the additional fee would cover decorations, but during an in-person visit we were told decorations were not included and that the fee covered cleanup, tables, and chairs instead. Given our guest count of fewer than 30 people, we felt the fee was high for what was included. We were then directed to communicate with another host, who seemed more flexible, but when the final payment was due, the original expectations returned. The back-and-forth and changing expectations created unnecessary stress during an already busy time.”

“We highly recommend staying at Casa Grande! We hosted our wedding here with about 40 guests, and the property was absolutely wonderful for our celebration. The large outdoor deck provided the perfect setting for both our ceremony and dinner reception, with breathtaking views of the river, valley, and surrounding mountains creating an unforgettable backdrop.
The home offers plenty of bedrooms and beds, making it comfortable and spacious for larger groups. Our guests especially enjoyed the game room and theater room, which provided great entertainment throughout the weekend.
Casa Grande has a unique and quirky character in several aspects, which we found charming and added to the overall experience. Future guests should be aware that the property is currently undergoing some upgrades and improvements. However, these did not impact our stay at all, and it was clear that Josie is continually investing in making the property even better.

“There are a lot of things to love about this place and it has so much potential. The views are absolutely stunning. There is tons of space and it's extremely private. There are lots of comfortable places to gather and comfortable seating. Josie was great and we really appreciated her prompt communication. These were all the most important things for us. However, for those expecting high-end lodging or for a special event like a wedding, keep in mind that this place is definitely a work in progress and needs maintenance. Our group hypothesized that maybe it was recently purchased and they rented it out before they had a chance to do the needed renovations to bring it to its full potential? For the cost we were surprised it wasn't better maintained (e.g. leaky roof, door knobs that don't work correctly, definitely lots of dust bunnies in the corners, etc.). Also, the layout of the bathrooms in relation to the bedrooms isn't ideal. But for us the view and the privacy made it worth it.”

“Our stay at this property was extremely disappointing and, most importantly, unsafe. The home was not as advertised and had numerous issues. Several of our guests developed hot tub–related folliculitis after hot tub use. There was visible issues to the house, water leaking from the roof, and widespread plumbing problems. The kitchen sink and dishwasher leaked extensively, soaking the floors. The oven could not be used because it would not shut properly, and hot water would run out after only about five people showered. There was exposed wiring, many outlets did not have power, broken showers, broken toilets, broken doors, and broken steps throughout the property. One floor had only one bathroom serving seven bedrooms, which is completely inadequate for a large group. & they advertise 5.5 bathrooms when only 4 full bathrooms are available for use. Lastly, their extra guest fee is such a money grab as they provide absolutely no extra accommodations they claim to justify the charge.”
“The house is very spacious and great for large groups, with multiple bedrooms, a gaming room, a kids’ play area, and a large kitchen. The views are excellent and a highlight of the stay. The hosts were very responsive, even with a last-minute booking, and kindly allowed us a late checkout, which we appreciated.
One of the issue during our stay was the hot tub, which did not work properly. Although a handyman came and manually increased the temperature, it still didn’t heat up enough to be usable for long. There were also a few other minor maintenance issues, including no hot water in one bathroom, a broken bed in one bedroom, a non-working refrigerator water filter, and a dishwasher that leaked occasionally.
Overall, this is a very large property, and we understand that it’s difficult for everything to be perfect in a house of this size. But it’s a good option for big groups looking for space, views, and a responsive host.”

Very spacious living room, eating area, bedrooms with enough beds, and ballroom, which we used for our worship space. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to hold a retreat!”
“We stayed here with about 45 women for our church’s women’s retreat, and it was such a wonderful experience overall! The home was spacious and welcoming plenty of room for everyone to relax, share meals, and enjoy fellowship together. The setting was peaceful and perfect for a retreat weekend.
Our host Josie was truly amazing very kind, responsive, and accommodating to our group’s needs. They made sure we had everything we needed and checked in to ensure things were going smoothly. We really appreciated their hospitality and communication.
The only thing this home needs is good housekeeping we wished it was a bit cleaner. Other than that, everything went great and we had such a meaningful and memorable stay!”

The space was huge and super accomodating for a large group. Agreed with what some of the others said - yes some renovations can still take place, but it is super spacious and nice, and I know Josie is doing her best with the renos!”
“We had our YA summer retreat at The Casa Grande, and may I say, AMAZING!!! Josie was attentive of any communication, responding within the hour. The entire house is beautiful, everyone loved it. The 180* degree view facing SW is breathtaking, a highlight for our stay. Josie did communicate a few current fixtures that were taking place but they were not of burden to us nor limited our purpose of use. I highly recommend staying at the Casa Grande! Josie also speaks Spanish which was a plus for us!”

“This is an amazing house that is still in need of some renovations. It is large and spacious with amazing views. We had 18 of us and there was plenty of room. The kitchen was great and or kids loved the pool table. Would definitely rent again.”
“Casa Grande is indeed grande! The house is huge and perfect for a large group or several families. The views from the huge windows are so lovely and the property is quiet. We found it was a great fit for the space our family needed. It should be noted that the house is still being updated and worked on, things aren't perfect -- random cabinets off hinges, wobbly railings, lack of trim on some windows, etc. It is a work in progress and hopefully with good craftsmanship will be fantastic.”
“We had a fantastic stay at Casa Grande! It’s a beautiful, spacious home — perfect for a large family getaway or celebration. The house easily accommodated our big group, with plenty of beds and rooms for everyone to spread out and feel comfortable.
The peaceful surroundings, open layout, and thoughtful touches throughout made it a great place to relax, connect, and enjoy quality time together. It’s ideal for hosting around 35–50 people for a special occasion.

“Great place that you can tell the new owners are really trying to update A LOT. It looked like they were still working on things since it looks like on Zillow that they only bought it three months before our stay. I’m sure as time goes on things will get even better.
Host was very responsive! We were a little concerned because one review of this place claimed it was fake, it is far from fake! It’s a massive place with a TON of room for large groups. We had 6 families staying in our group and we all have kids and even with that, everyone had a bed and a lot of the kids had their own rooms. One of our friends is in a wheelchair and it was great for her!
Definitely keeping an eye out for this place for when we all get together again! My only concern is that the price will go up because it is insanely reasonable for what you get.

“Very large place that can accommodate our large group. We loved the kitchen large island and dining area layout. The quality of craftsmanship/renovation is below average and we had several health and safety issues but Josie was able to address some of the issues promptly. Josie’s quick responsiveness earned her a good rating/review in our book. She welcomed our feedback and suggestions to improve her property for future guests. The overall interaction with Josie was very positive and we would recommend Casa Grande to anyone who needs a large place for an event.”
